When I say make a detour, it would be worth making a detour on your way from Croydon to London Bridge. Go to Gatwick, get a flight to Kavala, and take a hire car or taxi to this bakery. The Trigona Panoramatos ice cream is the best ice cream I have ever tasted, to the point I may never eat ice cream again as everything else is sure to be a disappointment. The coffee is great, the place is packed with locals buying bread and pastries, and the staff are kind and welcoming. (We got some free extras “just because”.)
