Nice place to come for a walk around. Clean, tidy and a reasonable sized free car park. Walk down some stone steps to the pebble beach. Probably not the most comfy place to come sunbathe but you can pick up plenty of pebbles. We went to Seaham for our first trip out after being allowed out and were very pleasantly surprised. The is a mixture of pebbles and sand with some great rock pools to explore. It is spotlessly clean and not crowded. Seaham itself is easy to reach being just off the A19 and amazingly, parking is free. The town along the seafront is nice and the harbour is interesting. The Black Truffle cafe is recommended for an excellent coffee and snack. As usual at the moment, all the toilets were shut - why do they do that? Other than that, a great day out. What a fantastic landmark. Spent all day there. Kids caught crabs shrimps and little fish in rocks to analyse and let them back to their natural habitat. What a great learning experience. Also spent hours searching for the famous seaglass. Kids absolutely loved every second of it. Lovely little spot to go for a walk, we spent a bit of time looking for sea glass. The kid loved it. Lovely with stunning cliffs and views. Easy to get to by bus or train and only a short walk from the town centre. Steps down to the can be very slippery, so be careful! Perfect spot for hunting the world famous Seaham Seaglass Well kept and lovely beach. Some dramatic rock formations. Mixture of stones and sand. Parking nearby and cheap. Seaham is such a beautiful seaside spot! The atmosphere is calm and refreshing, with a lovely pebble that’s perfect for photos or just relaxing by the water. It’s easy to get to and not far from the city center — definitely worth a visit! Abaolutely lovely beach. Seems very clean. Great fun for the kids finding rock pools, sea and beautiful pebbles and stones. Plus making stone towers is always popular with our kids! Parking is free at multiple car parks and even in half term we found spaces easily and the wasn't crowded. Well worth the 3 hour drive . Seaham is such a beautiful place to visit . Plenty of history to see Free car parking. Plenty of shops and cafes . Very dog friendly . The was nice and clean , plenty of rock pools to investigate and was great fun , finding sea amongst the pebbles.. Brilliant family day out We went here to find beach, we found it, but I think looking back on it, the tide was in too far and getting to it, is not for the faint of heart..... It was cool as we were the only people on this beach, but we didn't find any 😮💨 the further up looked really nice and was easier to access but we didn't go there 😔 Wot a great little town, lots of parking and near the harbour opposite the main shopping mall there is free parking and overnight stays in camper van or motorhome,we stayed 1 night on route home from a little tour round the Scottish Borders and Lothian and Midlothian area.Good clean beaches too. Wonderful collection of sea glass, uranium glass, bits of China. The Tommy on the seafront is truly awesome. Lovely decorated benches depicting miners and tommies. Very windy but still nice and worth to go. Perfect for walks and sea hunting. Nice cosy pubs nearby. We went on a very windy day but it was lovely to walk bu the beach. There are lots of little cafes around to enjoy a hot drink. Definitely coming back during the summer. Very clean, spent a few hours there collecting seaglass- definitely worth the trip. Carpark had space for a motorhome and although we didn’t use the cafe/restaurant there it looked nice A fantastic spot for a relaxing weekend trip.
