Easy parking, nice, friendly little theatre. We also visited the bar in the lounge before the show. We went to see Little Mermaid Panto and it was absolutely great. Amazing entertainment and it was very easy to take photos with our favourite characters. The best entertainment in Mullingar. Always great shows Brilliant! We very much enjoyed the annual Panto , great performance Great night entertainment but the seating way too close together you can't move or sit comfortable. My husband is 5ft 11 and his knees up to the person in fronts back,pushing on their seat. Same was happening to me with Man behind me. No leg room which is a pity as nice venue. I visited to see a play for my child's school. The Centre was clean and bright ( I do seem to love bright) staff are friendly and the show which was an initiative with the arts centre was fantastic. I love coming to the arts centre for the Christmas Panto also, always great productions. Great experience. Lovely small & intimate setting. My 2nd visit in recent months & would definitely be happy to go again. We attended during the day for an event. There was no facility for tea, coffee or even water. As a result I went out to a local coffee shop to buy coffee and a scone. When I returned to the Arts centre the receptionist shouted through the glass saying "you can't bring those coffees into the theatre" I said that a lot of other people had brought them in. I asked could I consume them in the reception outside the doors of the theatre and she said I could have them in reception. I went to walk off as there is an outside the doors of the theatre that could be a reception and she started shouting at me again that I couldn't bring them in there. I asked her again and she said that the I was talking about is a bar. I asked if I could have them there and she said yes. I brought the coffees in and was having them in the bar area. She walked past with a scowl on her face and stared at us as she passed us. I wondered if she was checking up on us to make sure we didn't bring them in. We were asked by a person to take our seats as we couldn't enter while the play was in motion. We left our coffee and cakes outside on the table while it was on. As it was short we knew the coffee would still be drinkable when we came back out. When we came out 'someone' had printed a sign and placed it on the wall beside where our coffees were saying no hot drinks allowed in the theatre. It definitely wasn't there before we went in, nor was there a sign anywhere else because I checked. I actually wondered if she might have spit in our coffees! This person ruined the experience for us in the place. She completely lacks customer service and she should partake in some training. It is not acceptable to shout at patrons... ever. If she had handled it a little better she would have got the same result but not have upset the patrons. We were stared at by other staff too and this made us feel quite uncomfortable. If this is the type of behaviour that is acceptable by the staff at Mullingar arts centre, I could not recommend visiting there. Good enough venue for a town. Seating is very tight, I’m above average height and my legs could not fit straight while sitting down. I had to push against the person sitting in front of me to fit while my legs went numb from poor posture.
