It also provides a great overview of ancient settlement in the Po Delta, shipping Commerce and so on. Set within the former Classe sugar refinery, the Classis museum is filled with mosaics, statues and a wealth of information. Friendly helpful staff. A must if visiting Classe. After your visit you will have learnt a lot about the history of Ravenna and its formal harbor Classe! It’s very amazing to see and understand how beautiful Ravenna was before. There’s a parking space just in front of it for free. You can also take BUS 4(Classe, Mirabilandia, etc.) from the station. Best museum in Ravenna - don’t skip it! You can buy combined tickets that cover the basilica and museum. It's within walking distance from Sant' Apollinare in Classe and a recommended visit to anyone interested in Ravenna's ancient history (which most of the basilica's visitors probably are).
