Capelinha de Nossa Senhora de Fátima

Santana, Portugal Chapel

One of the Best Places To Visits in Sao Vicente Frequently mentioned in reviews: Top-rated.online cuts through the clutter, highlighting only the reviews that are most helpful, earn the most likes, or come from the most active contributors. Piękne i naprawdę warte odwiedzenia miejsce, zdecydowanie polecam! Amazing from the top. We were hoping to see the sunset from the top, but the mountains wouldn't allow it. ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Breathtaking and peaceful energy Capela de Nossa Senhora de Fátima is not just a chapel, it’s a complete experience. Perched high on a hill, reaching it involves a short but rewarding climb. Once at the top, you’re greeted with one of the most breathtaking panoramic in Madeira. From the chapel’s bell tower, you can see across the lush green valleys, terraced hillsides, and out toward the deep blue Atlantic Ocean. The contrast of natural beauty and historic architecture is stunning. It’s the kind of view that makes you stop, take a deep breath, and just appreciate the moment. A must-visit if you’re in the area, come for the peace, stay for the view. Nagyon jó a kilátás. Mały kościół, ładny widook dookoła, można podjechać autem dość blisko. Niepotrzebnie dzwoni co chwila. The is located on a hill in São Vicente, with amazing of the surrounding area. It is visible from the entire valley. Steps up to the can be a challenge if you are less able or unfit. The was built in 1942. It was originally built as a promise to Nossa Senhora de Fátima, in case Portugal did not enter World War II. It was the first temple in the world to be built in honor of the Immaculate Heart of Mary. A place I'd known for 25 years. Well today we visited, very easy to find via Google maps, there is parking but limited don't let it put you off, it's not busy and the climb for 170+ steps will give time to contemplate the stations of the cross [sadly in poor condition] at the top and 360 degree view awaits. We took an alternative route back down, it looks the wrong way and slightly unkempt in places but you get to the road just below the carpark, at the road turn left and in a moment you're back to the car. Nearby there is a vineyard which could be worth a visit (I think there is a charge) Great from the top of the long stairway. The clock tells a different time on each face, but we were lucky to hear the bells ring. It's in a beautiful location. A lil hard to find since signage was covered by tree. Free parking on the road as long as you’re not blocking any driveways. The steps are located by the house with glass gate’s. 175 steps up and plenty of lizards to keep you company on the way up. Went on a hot sunny day a hat is a must and water. spectacular views. Church was closed so didn’t go in. Worth the walk. Stunning views! A little difficult to find at first as Google Maps takes you right outside a house. If you go to the right, you'll see the stairs which will take you to the chapel. The are worth the trek up! An up and over out,and back walk. From the small car park below the chapel, climb the steps, take a few photos of the then head down the path on the far side. When you reach the levada, turn right and keep going. Appx 2km to a view point looking out to sea. On the way back, just before you get to the man made path, look out for a dirt track heading up hill. It brings you to the road and back to the car park. A flat, easy walk for old and young. Spectacular views. I took the easy way, driving all the way up and parking near the stairs. We were the first at the chapel, as we arrived around 8:30. It was just a quick stop to take some pictures before moving further, so we didn’t spend much time there. Eine schöne Kapelle mit fantastischer Aussicht, der Aufstieg über die Treppen lohnt sich. A beautiful located in a picturesque spot with great of the surrounding area. The building itself is small but very well maintained and has a unique atmosphere. It is worth stopping here for a moment in silence to admire both the architecture and the surrounding landscape. Amazing views. 175 steps to the top but worth it 👍😉 This might be the best view on the island Website change monitoring Monitor any webpage for changes – get instant email alerts when prices drop, new jobs are posted, products come back in stock, or competitors update their sites.
