But people seem happy in it. 7,50€ one person ticket. Lovely setting, but some concerns We visited during our stay in Madeira and took a taxi to get there. You have to buy your ticket inside the gift shop, which felt a bit backwards, usually that’s something you do at the end, not the beginning. The staff were a group of women chatting amongst themselves, and it took a moment to get their attention. There’s a nice variety of to see, most of which appeared to be in good physical condition. However, many of the cages felt quite small, and I couldn’t help but wonder whether the animals get enough space or exercise. One moment that really stuck with us was near the end, in the conservatory section. A lone swan was blocking the exit path, having slipped through a chain barrier. He clearly wanted to escape and didn’t seem to have much space to move around. We couldn’t leave until the gift shop attendant came and chased him back in. When I asked how often that happens, she just said, “Yeah, quite often,” which didn’t sit right with me, it felt like he just wanted more freedom. On a positive note, the café was pleasant. We had a drink and a coffee, both nicely made and reasonably priced, with good service. The whole place can be done in about 30 minutes to an hour if you include time at the café. Overall, it is a charming idea in a beautiful setting, but the enclosure sizes and that swan encounter left me feeling a bit sad. This bird park is a lovely place to visit! It’s not very big, but large enough to enjoy a nice walk and spend a couple of relaxing hours. The variety of is impressive, and everything is well-maintained. There are cozy rest areas and refreshing drinks available, which make the visit even more pleasant. Highly recommended for nature and animal lovers! I really enjoyed my visit to Ilhéu da Aves. The garden is beautiful and very well maintained, with a wide variety of colorful and exotic birds. What impressed me the most was the open space where you can walk among the and observe them up close. In the zoos in my country, are usually behind glass, which makes it hard to see them properly — so this was a very unique and pleasant experience for me. The only downside is that I found the entrance fee a bit high. However, overall, it was definitely worth it, and I would recommend it to anyone visiting Madeira. A nice little zoo if you like that sort of thing, and the tour guide was knowledgeable. were well looked after, and good variety of plants. The guide said everything always inspected and suitable for the birds, but for me it was just a lot of in cages. There is also a good cafe and gift shop. It’s a bit pricey, but a really nice place. The plants are well maintained, the water ponds are not that clear, but clear enough to see the beautiful koi’s. The real highlight of this place are two marvellous tucan birds. Overall lives in cages but seem cool about it. Cool zoo with a great variety of birds. The territory is not super big, but green and cozy. Lots of different parrots. There are flamingos, fish and turtles. Adult ticket 7 euros, children's ticket 5 euros. Nice place with beautiful who are very interactive and make a lot of sound.
