Always full of friendly locals; nice food, good selection of drinks, including some very interesting (and somewhat pricey) international craft beers. Great stop when walking the Levada. We had coffees, tuna sandwich and a lemon ponch. Good value and very authentic locals spot. Bar Castrinhos offers a wide variety of food and drinks, all made with fresh, local ingredients. The menu features traditional Madeiran dishes, as well as a variety of international options. The bar also has an extensive selection of beer, wine, and cocktails. Great place for poncha and piñacolada ice cream milkshake called "Nikita" Very aggressive international beer selection here. And 4 sandwiches! The Fish sandwich for breakfast was a nice surprise. A nice place popular with locals. They have a selection of sandwiches, small dishes, and lots of drink options. When we were there it was hard to get a seat because it was so busy, but the service was still fast. Communicating in English not necessarily the easiest but overall we really enjoyed our stop here. Great place in Madeira. Great ponchas, Nikita and pe de cabra. Staff was really amazing and nice! Our favourite bar in Madeira for sure. Everyday ... Poncha Time :-) Thanks Castrinhos to make us happy everyday after our daily trekking. Its sandwiches are also very good. Only 4 type of sandwiches (beef tongue, chicken, tuna, swordfish) but really delicious. Its Poncha is the best in Madeira :-) Amazing hidden gem popular with the locals. Excellent serving, very friendly staff, top 3 ponchas I had on the island and one of the best import beer selection and if you've been on Madeira for a while and like beer you probably know how hard it is to find something...different let's say. Came here to try the poncha whilst on a tour. We tried 3 different ponchas and we're given little plates of food, completely unexpected. Also got to try some pe de cabra. Thank you very much.
