Despite its worldly name, it's has plenty of local ambiance, foods and drinks. Chicken piri piri was delicious and everything was super fresh. Extremely nice bar with delicious dishes – incredible!! We were there as a family. Note: no reservations, but it's totally worth it. We went back in the evening for a few drinks and it was just as good. Highly recommend it – if you get the chance to try their homemade passion fruit ice cream, it’s a must 👌 We went back a second time – I’d love to highlight how incredibly friendly the staff is, with a great sense of humor. I visited this little hidden gem back in April with my 4 year old daughter a Dear friend now ( Gata) and her nephew. It’s a very well stablished friendly, family runned restaurant. The decor as you walk in is very much Madeiran. They have two alfresco eating areas: 1st one at the front of the restaurant and 2nd one at the rear decked garden. You’re surrounded by exotic greenery, it’s a seaside/little jungle vibes here. The food is exceptional and Very PORTUGUESE PORTIONS (hope you’re hungry)! Everything was super yummy, just note that the peri peri chicken skewer is not spicy and comes bone-in (it’s chicken wings). The red wine sangria is to die for, so refreshing, so simple yet so delicious. The servers were very friendly and the overall vibe of the bar is just so beachy, intimate and chill. A must when visiting Jardim do Mar! Espada fish is very tasty, delicate, and well-prepared! The tuna is excellent. The chicken piri piri... the fries are the best here, the chicken is often underdone, and you might even encounter blood :/. The service is very friendly. The food was absolutely great!
