The price of the food at this pub is way too high for the quality of the food they serve you. The American-Style hotdog was £13.29 and came without the advertised fried onions, crispy onions, and chopped chives. The Buttermilk Chicken Strips & Popcorn Chicken was £5.99 and it was laughable! This came out as two frozen chicken strips, which were mushy and 4 frozen pieces of popcorn chicken. I never ever leave food, but I left most of this meal. I wouldn't recommend anyone coming here for a meal. The here were all very friendly. They seem to do multiple jobs, so the guy serving on the bar was also the hotel receptionist. Then a lady on the bar was also helping out in the kitchen. Which I understand to an extent as we went on a quiet weekday evening. But that resulted in orders made via the app being missed because there was nobody to see the ticket being printed off. Overall we would definitely come back. But I left with the impression that staffing levels are at a minimum and then the brilliant you do have are having to spread themselves about doing multiple jobs. The food itself was decent, a few items out of stock that were able to be but we were told and offered an alternative. Overall you have some lovely but they are each doing too much. Food was but there was an hour plus wait for food as they were busy. The thing was that we were told about they wait when we over food. The bad thing was the hour turned into just under 1.5 hours. However, the food was when it did arrive 👍🏻 Food was standard slow and no-one to greet and seat you I stayed at the attached hotel for 2 nights during a necessary in Blackburn. First things first. The are awesome. Super welcoming, and care about looking after the punters. Super from Ryan, Erin and the tremendous hotel manager 'Pink'. Pink was ace and she really looked after me. The food for the price is tremendous. Pizza was great, steak for the price was pretty and the breakfast was too much to eat in one sitting, without taking into account the included continental breakfast offerings of pastries, cereal and bread. The hotel accommodation is basic, but it's clean and tidy with a decent sized TV and tea and coffee. Certainly better value than the local Travelodge. Wholehearted recommends for a family and dog pub with decent pub grub at a very price. Thanks folks. Wookiee. Stopped for a quick coffee. customer service. Have been there today, with my friend for dinner. The food was absolutely awful. We wanted to give a test of quality before for going for a Christmas dinner. We leek, cheese and potato pie and fish and chips. Everything was dry as nun's fun..y! Pie, chips, fish... We asked to cutlery, we asked to give us a napkins. And then we realised the gravy are missing there, should be asked to 🤦‍♀️ I know its not a restaurant, I am not expecting fine dining, but why would any pub serve lovely "homemade" food, as they supposed to? Just simple, lovely fresh food! And, by the way, hygiene rating is 4. Why not 5?? Disappointed. P.S. Bottle of Malbec was good, saved our evening though 😆 Why cook Christmas 🎅 Eve when have it made for you 👍👍👍👍 excellent food and and a warm welcome perfect way spend Christmas Eve thank you everyone Well situated with easy access and ample parking. Not overly busy and could be seated immediately. Scan and order/Pay so no need to queue at a bar for food/drinks. Food was fast, value for money and tasty. Indoor/outdoor seating near the play area to keep view of kids. Outdoor play area was well maintained. Amenities like vending machines had Pokémon cards, kids games etc which emphasised the family venue feel. place to pop in for lunch or dinner, food, decent prices and lovely staff. They have offers on Mon-Friday so check on their website. Very festive, looked really nice. The rooms were and comfortable. Food and drink with a selection. We hadn’t booked but thought we’d chance it and see if we could walk in, only to be told that they were fully booked - the place was absolutely empty. The attitude of the woman behind the bar was shocking, absolutely no need to be so horrible - would never eat here anyway due to her attitude. Blonde woman who seemed to be the manager and was on a mega power trip, get a grip! We were a party of 10, and decided to eat here as a family get together after a 7 hour drive, and we were disappointed, as we waited nearly an hour for our food, just for my step dad to receive his starter with his main, another family member received a medium steak instead of medium rare, my steak was chewy, and the mushrooms were lukewarm/cold. My stepdad the Mixed grill, and the egg was rubbery and well overcooked, and the whole meal was cold, and the breaded mushrooms were inedible. He complained to a waitress who was pregnant and she was moody and didn’t help at all, whereas another lady did help but we were not happy still, my stepdad received a refund, and so did the family member. Overall just not happy with wait times, food quality and the attitude towards customers from staff. Won’t be returning. Poor , waited over an hour for food still nothing received it. Then waited another 10min for a refund . Got refund but they didn’t even offer a free drink. Absolutely brilliant stay. were excellent from the moment we checked in till we checked out. We had a meal in the evening which was first class and value for money. Breakfast was equally as good. Our room was spotless snd comfortable as usual. We choose the willows because every time we the make it special. Keep up the work . You're are brilliant. Amy gave us such an amazing dining experience! She was friendly, attentive, and made sure everything from our food to our was perfect. She checked in at just the right times without ever making us feel rushed, and her recommendations were spot on. Amy's warm personality and professionalism really elevated our visit - the food and were great, but her made it exceptional. We'll definitely be coming back and asking for Amy! Used the app to order, very quick on the and a member came to double check one of the items which was as turned out we had the “lighter” burger instead of the regular burger which was wanted. Had she not checked we would have been disappointed with the food choice. Service was great, food was hot The kids pizza was on the small size - could have been bigger Very hot food but please don't put gravy on a pie served it with it but not on it I love pastry not gravy I booked a online prior to my visit and received a confirmation and booking ref via email. On arrival I advised of the booking and the girl behind the bar didn’t know anything about it and just told me which tables I could sit at. I’d booked the prior to my visit as this was for myself and friends for a catch up after myself having been very ill so I wanted to make sure we could have a when we arrived this was very disappointing that a had not actually been reserved, so if it had been busy we may not have been able to sit and eat. We weren’t aware of the Karaoke either which was a surprise, but initially the DJ put on some music which was very very loud and myself and my friends had to shout across the to chat. I can appreciate that venues have entertainment but when the Willows is primarily a place to eat I feel that this could have been better situated in a section of the premises away from the main dining area. Overall the and food was and we will return Both the and the quality of the food was appalling, We visited simply to test the standard after booking and paying a deposit to attend on Christmas day which we have now cancelled. When the waitress puts your very dry tasteless food on the then turns as she walks away and asks if you would like cutlery it gives you a clear indication of the standard of accepted by an establishment and of the of training given to staff. Both meals were left after only several mouthful. We also had to repeatedly ask for parts of our order such as gravy and our drinks. Shall definately not recommend or return especially for Christmas day. . . What a lovely lunch today! I had the Surf and Turf (sirloin steak, medium rare) and scampi. Everything was perfectly cooked, the steak was exactly as I like it. The chips were proper steak chips and again, perfectly cooked. The accompaniments were just right. The was but not obtrusive. The server, Chris, was helpful and and there is required but again, was not obtrusive. Had a lovely time. The food was good. Got served by Tom and he was very accomodating. Overall, visit Lauren and her top tier attentive is second to none . Food was as ever , quick efficient and relaxed . Couldn’t be better tbh Many thanks , Dawn The experience was really good. Food and drink come out quickly. I love the fact you can order from the table. The only issue was when we through the link it automatically separated to starters and main when we wanted it all together. Food was really and reasonably priced. Will be back. Really and easy stay. were and helpful. Our was hassle free and the rooms were and clean. The pub had food and was served in a timely manner. It was warm inside and the lighting was as well with it being a yellow light rather than bright white lights. Would recommend a here. My sister and I stayed overnight at Marstons inn at Willows on Saturday 15th March. I do live locally, and have had lots of meals here. However, on this occasion I was getting married the next day and chose to spend the night here to get ready for my big day. The room was and clean, on the ground floor which I had asked for, I had booked a twin room, Before check in, I had a call to ask if i would like to be upgraded to a family room. I certainly appreciated having a double bed to myself. We ate and drank in the willows on the night the food was very nice. We had a comfortable night sleep. We had booked the classic breakfast for the following morning, which included the continental breakfast option too. I wanted to make a special mention to Ben who cooked and served our breakfasts. Ben was very cheerful, and professional, he couldn't do enough for us. The breakfast was the best cooked breakfast I have eaten in a long time, perfectly cooked, exceptional poached egg! P.s On arrival to our room, a bottle of prosecco and 2 glasses had been left to help set off our evening celebration. Thank you Willows for a wonderful stay.
