Lovely country park. of car parking. I walked through while out on a local walk. Will definitely pay a return visit one day to explore fully. I passed equipment in the woodland, a wooden otter sculpture, a small waterfall, and a pond. Lots more to explore here. Great paths throughout. Visited here for the Blackburn Easter Funfair and it was fantastic. Car was well priced but needed the spaces re lining I must say. Hoping to return just to around the Country itself but as a setting for the Fair it was excellent I must say. Great with of activities for all ages. is relatively cheap ! There's a small and bike track for the children. The toilets were a bit gross, but if you are desperate to go, then hold your nose and take some tissue. Large greenbelt area with of areas. Great for dog walkers. Visited with our Granddaughter who enjoyed playing on the Brilliant through the greenery. A lovely space to around. Lots of fields, a river running through it, lily pond, Go Ape for the adventurous. The is really good, lots of choice and freshly made. Recommend for a day out, kids, dogs, everyone! Hadn't been in a while, there is a charge for parking, 80p for upto 2hrs or £2 all day, which to be fair is good value. There's a lot of investment happening, with a sports centre, Go Ape, and a new area in progress for the kids, as well as existing areas, visitor centre with sone animals/caged birds, small pond with ducks/squirrels, sports fields & to take dogs for a run. Ladies toilets were gross (wiped poo on the walls 🤢) mens toilets were locked! was nice, but limited to pretty unhealthy food (burgers, chips, bacon/sausage butties, cheese toasties & ice cream plus crisps/cookies/chocolate which was disappointing so left without buying anything. Good for flat walks, and there's also access into Billinge Woods for those wanting more woodland (and muddy depending on the weather) and fungi spotting. We managed to cover almost 5 miles walking both the Witton/Billinge routes. Took 3 of my grandchildren ages 6. 5 and 2. We went onto the then to the and had coffee and ice cream. The weather was lovely, families having picnics, It was lovely to see, we will be back. Took our two grandsons to go ape today here at Witton Park. They really enjoyed it but would have liked to have gone round twice, would have been better value for money as the area isn't that big. Came here today! To do goape! Didn't realise how big this was and so much to explore! Was out first time and will definitely be coming back! £2 for all day is brill. Cheap day out to do with the kids. Amazing parks and walks, also loveky shack for food and drink!! Really amazing place to spend all day alone or with family. :) of nice paths, long around surrounded by beautiful nature. You can buy there coffee, ice-cream, drinks. During weekend and playgrounds can be bit busy. Cheep car park, lots of space. One star less for destroyed playground,(my was well disappointed!) which can be dangerous from inside playing there. I really hope it wil be fixed soon cuz it's amazing idea and got g potential and could made really hay and adventurous! :) please, please, please fix it! A beautiful, multi-layered with several different for of different ages. Big, flat open grass fields, plus many footpaths at the back that go up and down through the trees. There's even a little that sells ice cream and drinks etc. There's a big car but you have to pay. On the plus side it's only 50p for up to 2 hours, then I think an extra £2 after that, as of May 2018. It can get extremely busy on hot, sunny days, so go very early if you want the run of the place. First time coming here it's got a few for of all ages and lovely and also dog friendly.. of and a lovely Great with for all ages to enjoy. Recently updated with a toddler area and one for older children aswell. Pump track for the to ride there bikes on and of space to run around with dogs. We had ice creams from Ronnie's café and these were brilliant and big enough that we could all share without arguments. Also the hot chocolate with cream and marshmallows was pretty good too! Car on site that is 80p for 2 hours or £2 for all day which is pretty good to be fair with of spaces. Will definitely be going back soon Good sized car park, takes either cash or card. Parks in main part are all finished and according to my 10 year daughter, absolutely amazing!! Small sandpit, small fenced new toddler and biiiig open large park. Lots of playing today including teenagers, lots of challenge equipment and 2 ziplines to race on!There's also a new Go Ape tree course (chargeable and book in advance) and lots of to enjoy. Big open spaces and secret around the Big Wander Woods. Bit sad that the little wooden in there hasn't been updated. Good which allows (well behaved) dogs in too. Witton is a really lovely and spacious park, perfect for walks, and family time. It has beautiful green areas, a area for kids, and of fresh air. One thing to be aware of is that many dogs are off their leads, so if you are nervous around dogs or have young children, it’s something to keep in mind. Enjoyed a few hours here with my 2 young children, they loved the pump track and the park. A good selection of zip lines, bigger slides/climbing apparatus and a separate for toddlers, so great for all ages. There's also woodland and a river and of grass for football games/frisbee etc. Perhaps we were fortunate to visit on 'clearing day' but there was minimal litter and the looked well taken care of. We brought a picnic so can't comment on the cafe, but will return and perhaps try the next time. Nice to visit somewhere where you can your dog(s) but the can also play. Nice spacious parkland with river running alongside grass.
