We went to Kasteelpark Born for a school field trip (ages 4-6) and we had a great time. Clean, lots of animals, shady places, cool playground, nice restaurant and places to sit and eat lunch. Highly recommend! A nice visit if you're with (small) children. There is a large petting zoo that includes even some monkeys. The castle is nice enough but unless you are planning to have a party there it isn't all that interesting. The small food and drink court is nice and has some cheeky raccoons nearby which the kids will love. Heel leuk Dierenpark om een kasteelruïne met Kamelen, Uilen en andere prachtige dieren. De medewerkers zijn heel vriendelijk en ze doen er alles aan om je voor 11 euro een leuke dag te bezorgen + plattegrondje. Een om op verliefd te worden en op de dieren. There are so many very friendly and they are gathering for snacks(you can buy them with tickets). There are so many species and two cool places where you have access and they're free (cage and fold). But I take one star, because wild cats-lynx and wild birds (as always) have too small cages and I think they are suffering. Donkeys seems to be sad and they didn't run with joy as lama or goats. Kasteelpark Born is een leuk, kleinschalig dierenpark, perfect voor een ontspannen uitje met familie of kinderen. Het ligt op de ruïnes van een oud kasteel, wat een bijzondere sfeer geeft. Je vindt er verschillende dieren, zoals wasberen, alpaca’s, herten en uilen. Voor kinderen is er genoeg te doen, met een speeltuin en een kinderboerderij. Het is netjes onderhouden en de sfeer is gemoedelijk. De entreeprijs is prima en er is horeca voor een drankje of een snack. Verwacht geen grote dierentuin, maar juist een gezellig en knus waar je een paar uur kunt genieten van de en de natuur. For its size they managed to squeeze a good variety of birds and small mammals in, with very comfortable walking spaces. Op een prachtige dag hebben mijn vriend en ik het bezocht, fijn dichtbij parkeren, een centraal punt waar men kan eten/drinken en een wc opzoeken, en zoals het hoort; een hoop mooie natuur en varia dieren.
