One of the Best Places To Visits in Upplands Väsby Frequently mentioned in reviews: Top-rated.online cuts through the clutter, highlighting only the reviews that are most helpful, earn the most likes, or come from the most active contributors. Free! I’m all about free tourist things. We met up with family in Väsby on our way from Dalarna to Stockholm and took a turn around this fun park/garden. Lots of animals to see and cool replicas of style buildings. Fun place for kids. No dogs allowed though! Amazing place. Must visit! A wonderful little age styled farm that was beautiful and educational. I recommend everyone pay this place a visit. A good occasion to Vikingagården is during the Spring Market. All kind of activities to try out! Lovely place to have a picnic when the sun is out.. Take some things to cook yourself.. Something light obviously.... Learn about the Swedish way of life back then and ensure to get the guide to talk to you about the settlement.. She was really helpful and detailed.. She spoke English so that was a plus for me 😂 😂 There was a fun vikingamarknad on which is why we went there but the friluftsmuseet is very nice, interesting and well kept Fun market day. Enough food and drink to survive and feel full. Made offering to the shrines in the back, at the end of our visit. My wishes to Thor have been coming true. Sellers have reasonable prices but I advise bringing exact cash because some don't take card. Besökte under höstmarknaden! Great place for kids and grownups alike. Don't expect attractions or museum-style information. This is run and operated like an olden settlement and gives you the opportunity to see how that would work. There are Pigs in pens, chickens and sheep walking wild on the grounds. Its worth a to grill some sausages and enjoy a sunny afternoon. Great “fynd”. Very authentic feeling about this place which includes free guides, dressed as farmers, with a thorough knowledge about all things Viking. Pigs, chickens, sheep, cows, rune stones, buildings and crafts Ina beautiful natural setting next to authentic grave sites. Adding this to my list for visiting tourists. Good for children and families. Playgrounds nearby. Intressant! Super friendly people there full of knowledge. I wish I had allowed more time for a proper look around but sadly left it to my last day in Sweden and visited on the way to the airport. Really interesting for anyone wanting to learn about the Vikings. Gunnesgård is such an amazing, beautiful place with a hard-working, dedicated and extremely knowledgeable staff! The market is especially great. There are fighters! Master craftsmen! Storytellers! And lots of animals! Higley recommended! Var på väsenvandring med barnen, fantastiskt! It's a nice place to visit, especially with kids. Every time I have been there, there have been people dressed in traditional clothing. There are animals and traditional cabins/houses. See how people lived during the ages Nettes kleines Freilichtmuseum Popular spot showcasing era lifestyle and activities. Also location for local festivals like Midsommar. Best for the little visitors, we had no children with us. Probably better when there are activities taking place. Portaloo was a little off putting, maybe a traditional long drop may be better or not! Really cosy recreation of a farm. You can often buy some handmade souvenirs if there is some special event going on. It's much smaller than something like Birka but a great stop to combine with other day activities. Make sure to check the website for events or markets ahead of time. The reconstructed buildings were obviously built with much love for details. The conversations with the guardians were very interesting for me as an adult. The kids loved the animals and some of the quiz questions, as well as the items on sold there. (viking style jewelry, old fashioned iron scissors, wooden hand carved spoons, ...), as well as the nearby modern playground... Mysigt ställe som är utmärkt för barnfamiljer. Kan varmt rekommendera detta stället This was a place worth visiting. Family of 2 children who enjoyed this. Not sure about opening hours but it was open. Miejsce które cofa czas Such a nice place, a replica farmstead in Upplands Väsby, where the staff are dressed in clothes and you can buy some jewelry by using cash or swish i believe. There were pigs, chickens and sheep too. Would recommend!
