We visited in the morning during the week in early June and basically had the place to ourselves. This was founded in 1147! And is one of the best preserved in all Europe. It is stunning in beauty and holds many stories (take the guided tour it's worth it). The monetary was ruled first by the catholic church (the Cistercian order) and then by the protestants. Make sure you enjoy the dining room with its acoustic ;) The entire complex is definitely worth to visit (for free). However, I doubt in value of visiting the building (with entry fee). 10/10. Outer parts can be visited for free and the remarkable itself offers tours and audioguides. I recommend these to get more spoken details as signposting is limited to German and rather short. The place is of stunning architecture and an unbelievable relaxing quietness.
