Known for amazing smoked fishes along with lots of food to choose from and now freshly brewed beers from their in house brewery. I love this place. The Sauna at Strandis is real fun specialy in winters when you take a dip in frozen lake after coming from the sauna. I bought a smoked take away and a local bread and beer, all produced/baked/prepared on the spot or in close proximity. Great local flavors, especially the salmon, which was absolutely superb! The was friendly, too. We came to the restaurant on a rainy summer day and got a nice table with a view of the water. The was and informative. The food was tasty and well-cooked. Nothing particularly special, but it worked well! An excellent restaurant with great river view and sauna service. Delicious a la cart menu, smoked and pizza. with friendly staffs and owner. place for families or groups of friends to relax. Will come back for sure Delicious food! The menu should be improved and visual images added. Very food, can’t wait to go back! We stopped on the way back from Oulu for a quick lunch. I am new to Finland but the soup was the best I ever had. The price was fair, salad bar, bread, soup and pancake for 12.50euros, but most importantly everything was delicious! Great lunch place during summer. Bad thing is you'd like to stay longer and have a beer on the terrace. Which is fine too! Unless you have to go back to work. Lunch food is most of the times, burger buffet was splendid! This is our first time in Finland and we stayed here for 4 days, and we were blown away by the new camping grounds. Only downside to this new campingground is that there are no playgrounds yet for children. It is comming but isnt mounted yet. Beautifull bathing beach by the camp also. Recommend going here. Unfortunately our experience with the restaurant was barely serviceable. After arriving, our order was taken neatly, however the waiting time was over an hour! We have ordered three of the most expensive meals, and yet they came so slow and not only that but they ended up bringing the wrong order to our table. After that we asked if they even started with the food, but we got no answer. When we finally got our food, we were yet again got disappointed. Although the taste and texture was great, the served portions were way too small. Combined with the fact that they haven't even asked if we are satisfied let alone apologise for the mishaps and slow serving... If the pricing is so luxurious I'd expect better treatment. +tasty food - atrocious waiting time - small portions - disorganised stuff - overpriced menu - careless service Would only recommend if there are no other options... which there are many and not so far either.
