Excellent conditions for a Portuguese stadium, beside the big clubs of the country. Nice view from the upper stands. The has a nice look from inside and looks like a Lego from outside. The access is easy and has a lot of parkings lots. It can handle maybe one day Europeans games easily. Really nice place to see a great concert. Easy to get in and out of. Loved our time in Leiria! Concert was fabulous 👌 Apologies for writing in English, and sorry for being that complaining foreigner, but.. we went to see Andrea Bocelli at Leiria Municipal last night. Mr Bocelli & Co were lovely, but organisation/facilities was a shambles! We drove to Leiria early enough to have time for a bite to eat beforehand. Turned out that Leiria fun fair was on, right next to the stadium, blocking a large part of the parking area and of course drawing in even more people. We drove around for ages and eventually parked in a little side street well out of the way. Due to lost time we went straight to the stadium. Surely there would be some concession stands, right? On entrance they took our bottles of water away "for security reasons". No problem, we will just buy some inside, right? Well, "concessions" consisted of a "bar", i.e. tiny table/fridge setup selling drinks and some snacks, and a mystery restaurant *waves vaguely left and up*. We joined the already massive queue for the bar, and by the time it was our turn they were all out of snacks. 1.5hr before the concert, when the place was still half empty! Got drink, sat down for a moment and I went in search of said restaurant. Found it and joined queue. 40 minutes later, still loads of folks in front of me and concert about to start, I gave up. Looked like no one was buying food, makes me think they had ran out..? Meanwhile I noticed the queue for the ladies' toilets as well. No one had bothered to tell them that there were 40 portaloos available at the back of the field!! 20-minute interval, and again by the time we got to order all snacks were gone. Very disappointed, but maybe it is just me and this is normal?? Good place for music events, like Rock1000 Fantastic experience with the GB team at the u20 club championship. Superb venue.
