Chata gen. M. R. Štefánika pod Ďumbierom

Jarabá, Slovakia Mountain cabin

One of the Best Places To Visits in Brezno Frequently mentioned in reviews: Top-rated.online cuts through the clutter, highlighting only the reviews that are most helpful, earn the most likes, or come from the most active contributors. The best place where to stay in Low Tatras. We spent here time in winter during our hiking to Dumbier or in summer. They have the best breakfast - sweet one it the best. Also i love the service, the hot tea and soup after a long walk. Once I slept in summer in the dog place and it was a bit scary, but in the rooms, it was great. So hot, when outside is cold. I slept here like a baby. Táto horská chata ponúka krásne prostredie – ticho, čistý vzduch a výhľady, ktoré stoja za to. Izby aj jedlo pôsobia trochu old-school, no práve to jej dodáva svoje čaro. Was pleasantly surprised to find the place open in the middle of summer. Stopped for a beer, it was needed after the climb up to it. Great view, did not have food, but it looked and smelled very nice. Reasonable prices considering it is on top of a and they have to hellocopter provisions in. Right, this hut—a place with a rich history, apparently. One assumes this means the plumbing is also historically preserved. But never mind that, the place delivers a truly home-like vibe, which is a delightful euphemism for being incredibly cozy and having to share your personal space. The whole experience was, in fact, wonderfully pleasant, welcoming, and friendly. The here are nothing short of superb. They operated with a level of helpfulness that bordered on miraculous. Not only did they furnish a first-aid kit—presumably for the minor injuries one sustains upon realizing they have no cash—but they were also willing to entertain the thoroughly modern concept of a money transfer for payment, proving that even centuries-old retreats occasionally acknowledge the 21st century. Furthermore, they tucked us into a super cheap space with a generous collection of mattresses, which felt wonderfully and cozy, like a delightful, communal sardine can. It was excellent for forging new friendships, as conversation was practically mandatory due to the proximity of all human bodies. The dinner was spectacular, a genuine highlight. The breakfast, however (which was included, a touch), felt like a tactical preparation for the arduous day ahead, primarily due to its salt content. It was good, mind you, but certainly designed to make you thirsty, thereby encouraging immediate and frequent hydration before setting off. But the real, astonishing feature of this establishment is the logistical dedication: they still bring everything—beer, food, and supplies—up the on the backs of porters. One is tempted to feel a profound guilt when ordering a second beer, knowing a saintly person had to carry it. Finally, the views: the sunrises and sunsets are, without exaggeration, spectacular. A perfect, if slightly salty, start and end to a day of exertion. It is a great place to rest during a hike. Beautiful views if you sit outside (there are places inside, too). Good beer. Food is good enough to load you with energy. Had a fried cheese and langosè and both were decent. Prices are good too. Sweet little cat hanging around. Service was nice, young people, talking good English. Consider that they carry all the food and drinks up there. Respect. Place to revisit. Fully equipped, has a correct site to get info. Has showers with water. Tap water is fine to drink. We had dinner and breakfast too, both were in quality and quantity too. The was kind and helpful, I recommend this place to visit, even in the coldest winter. :) It is a old school refuge, the soups are delicious. I found their dumplings a bit too sweet though (and the jam inside was not as tasty as I thought it would be). The bedroom areas are nice, equipped with bunkbeds. It was enough for the night, so I slept quite well after our hike. The bathrooms are clean, the shower is brand new, with hot water available. The was friendly and the atmosphere was pleasant altogether. I would recommend this place to fellow hikers, really good starting/finishing point for adventures in the Low Tatras. An amazing experience in the mountains, stunning views. The is very and welcoming, food is great and prices are rather fair for the position of this cottage in the mountains. I had no bad experience. Be Beware though, water in the showers can be super hot! (Do not burn yourself). Such friendly people hosting this place, helpful and caring, place really well organized, - what else can you wish for after a trip in rain? Maybe a place where you could have your shoes and clothes dried? They have you covered. Food: varied, big portions! Určite by jej neuškodilo trochu viac poctivosti a chuti. The manager had taken money and booked the whole place for a private function. We were asked to leave (!). I have never heard of hikers being asked to leave a cabin during winter conditions before. Luckily we had the gear we needed to make it through the night. Be careful of this place and the way it's managed. I have been there before though and generally agree that when they DO let you in, the food is great, the main room is and there is plenty of beer on tap. With that said, we were deeply disappointed with the manager's choice to refuse people in the winter time - potentially very dangerous! Great place, kind best cabbage soup 🇭🇺 Website change monitoring Monitor any webpage for changes – get instant email alerts when prices drop, new jobs are posted, products come back in stock, or competitors update their sites.
