Lovely unexpected lighthouse. Initially not obvious to locate by bike on the coastal track that turned into mud. However so obvious when approached by made uo roads. Toilet available. Small old lighthouse, opened for the public. Entry price is fair and the is great. Not all information is available in English though, so it's hard to read everything in the museum if you don't speak perfect Danish or lack some special vocabulary. Lovely building of light house and beautiful onto the sky blue sea and fresh and crisp air. Lady at the light house is friendly. Both lighthouses were very interesting and had small museums with them. The staff was fantastic and very knowledgeable. Learned a lot about the older styles of lighthouses in this area. Very nice surroundings and museum. The lady was so kind, big hugs for her! Very nice and interactive museum with splendid on the sea🌊🗼. Great piece of Danish lighthouse history! I recently had the pleasure of visiting Nakkehoved Fyr in North Zealand, and I must say it was an unforgettable experience. The place exudes a fascinating maritime atmosphere and offers breathtaking views of the sea. It is the perfect getaway from the hustle and bustle of daily life, allowing you to immerse yourself in the beauty of nature. The highlight of my visit was undoubtedly the from Nakkehoved Fyr. As I climbed the tower, I was rewarded with an impressive panoramic of the coastline. The azure blue water stretched out to the horizon, and the rugged coastal landscape was simply awe-inspiring. It was a sight that left me speechless, allowing me to soak in the beauty of nature. In addition to the view, Nakkehoved Fyr also offers fantastic hiking trails that allow you to explore the surrounding nature. The paths wind along the coast, offering a variety of scenic highlights. During my hike, I discovered hidden coves, majestic cliffs, and picturesque beaches. It was a true delight to wander along these trails and breathe in the fresh sea air. Apart from nature, the area around Nakkehoved Fyr also features charming villages and towns to explore. Gilleleje, just a short drive away, is a delightful place with a rich maritime history. Here, you can stroll through narrow streets, admire the traditional houses, and take a break in cozy cafes and restaurants. While the Nakkehoved Fyr Museum is certainly worth a visit, for me, it was the place itself and its stunning surroundings that made my visit unforgettable. The combination of the spectacular sea and the wonderful hiking trails left a deep impression on me. If you're looking for a place to experience the beauty of the Danish coast, Nakkehoved Fyr is definitely a must-visit. It's a place where you can forget the hustle and bustle of everyday life and connect with nature. Unfortunately our visit was not so pleasant on July 2nd 2024. The surroundings are beautiful but we encountered an impolite receptionist. After waiting for her chatting 10 mins, we were told we have 5 mins left to go up but have to pay the full fee (5€) and pay it again when we want to see museum another day. Nice suprise after waiting ...
