Fine dining which expect small portion so would like to say good portion. Most of the dishes is very salty and you can’t taste the food itself 😮‍💨 BUT, bread is good as search warm and nice butter they have too. It was everything I hoped for and we were sat in the most romantic cozy little front garden next to the spring in the center. The food was divine and truly and worth trying. Service was on point and didn’t miss a beat at any occasion. We celebrated our wedding anniversary here on our first day in Denmark. It was the perfect start to our vacation in Scandinavia. The was really friendly and was presenting every dish in English. It worths mentioning that the Chef came to our table and talked to us and welcomed us. It was very nice. Thank you! Now the plates were intricate, complex and indeed tasteful, influenced by French cuisine. We went for the 9 courses which included two courses with caviar. Definitely recommend it! The atmosphere was stunning and serene, the wait was incredibly attentive and accommodating, and the dishes were so imaginative and delectable. You have to go in knowing this is not easy on the wallet so be prepared to come with a car payment (or two if you are drinking) for the traditional 9 courses, but my goodness it was like being presented with delicious art work one plate more beautiful than the next. This is classic Michelin star-level food: the taste is superior, but the dishes also look so amazingly good! They are works of art in their own right. The balance between seafood, meat, vegetarian, cheeses and desserts is impeccable, and the wine pairing superb. The interior of the building is charming and original: it has the look and feel of a typical Danish "kro", or tavern which would probably be the best English translation. But it is of course decorated to make it come off as more luxurious and exquisite, matching the level of the food. The were professional and friendly, and we would like to mention specifically our main waiter, a charming young blonde man with glasses, who was such a gentleman throughout the entire evening. My wife received an email saying we had 24 hours to make the deposit but our reservation was cancelled after just 15 hours. We called and the person acknowledged the error but said the only thing they could do was to put us on the waitlist (we never got off). The woman we spoke to didn’t seem remorseful or apologetic. Just beware if you want to eat here - pay your deposit early as they don’t abide by their own instructions! Amazing dining experience! We had the lunch menu, which is a smaller. However, it was enough even for my husband. I am vegetarian and my dishes were adapted to it. I loved the desert with the butterfly.
