About an hour by outside of Copenhagen city centre and then 10 minutes walk from Humlebaek station. The ticket can be book online but it was also super easy to buy it on arrival with no queue when we go on Sunday midday. There are a little bit of sculptures and some indoor gallery. Nice view and some interesting displays. There are 2 gift shops, one on the ground floor and one downstairs. I had a fun ride. Found on google map by accident, while visiting Copenhagen. So so worth the visit. Amazing own collection and other curated exhibitions. Had a linch at the cafe, and was very good, food and service. Absolutely a worth of a visit. Well signed feom the nearest station. Go! I don’t know how I’ve never heard about this place. Especially considering how busy it was. Droves of people coming on every train. It felt like some how I was the only one that never knew of it. This place is a treasure. The exhibits are stunning. The location and surrounds are beautiful. The thing about contemporary art is that you either resonate with it or not. In this case, I found the building itself more interesting than the art exhibitions. The building just screams Nordic design, which makes it a unique while visiting the Nordics. I enjoyed some of the photography collection. The whole took me 2 hours. The locker needs a 20 dkk coin to unlock, you can get the coin back afterwards. Or you can pay by credit card, but you won't get your money back this way. This is not uncommon in Denmark, but it still makes no sense. Brilliant and park located along the sea north of Copenhagen. We rented bikes and rode from the central city and then took the back. There is a lovely dedicated bike path the whole way but the was also easy. The is expansion and sun filled with fantastic exhibits plus an amazing children’s wing. Definitely don’t skip out on the cafe for a meal plus dessert! This is a wonderful reason to take a short trip and another side of Denmark beyond Copenhagen. It offers a great opportunity to focus on and appreciate the works of talented contemporary artists. The installations, in particular, blend beautifully with the gardens and surrounding landscape. The number of artworks feels just right—not overwhelming—allowing you to take your time, enjoy the scenery, and relax as you explore, especially on a pleasant day. It’s the most that we’ve ever been to. The park display all the sculptures nicely with the nature. While it’s rare that this has many big windows using much natural lighting for indoor exhibition as well. Highly to have a meal at their cafe which you can enjoy amazing sea view that you can seldom see elsewhere. It’s our favourite so far. Definitely worth a if you are in Copenhagen. It took us about 2 1/2 hours to get through everything. Make sure you go on a nice day because it is an indoor concept where you walk through indoor galleries into spaces with an array of sculptures. Not to mention the restaurant was absolutely delicious And had a variety of tasty and local dishes. museum, really the trip out of the city to visit. The landscape and buildings are also astonishing. One of the best art museums I have visited! The itself is pretty small, with a few major exhibits. Going during the summer months is nice because the surrounding garden is nice to walk through. Because I’m not the biggest fan of modern art, I made the trip when they were hosting their Literature event and saw one of my favorite authors, which was amazing. Super fun place to examine modern art. Honestly, I'm not a huge fan of modern art but this place was a lot of fun. The garden was the highlight but in a very special way. Be sure to first seeing the sculptures from inside the as you peruse the other exhibits then them from the outside. This made me really appreciate how well the and the building integrates with each other and with the surrounding environment - both the rise and fall of the property and the background of the sea and sky. It was an hour bus ride and it was totally worth it. Fantastic artworks, an interesting layout, and interaction with nature. What a destination. We rented a car from Copenhagen and took the scenic coastal route, which gave us stunning views of the villas by the sea — a drive in itself worth taking. The Louisiana is a true gem. You’re free to wander through the various installations at your own pace, creating a personal and immersive experience. I highly having lunch at the museum’s restaurant — it offers a gorgeous view of the garden and the sea, making the meal just as memorable as the art. And if you’re still looking for something to bring home to family or friends, the shop is a treasure trove of interior design objects and thoughtful gifts. An absolutely stunning museum. Easy to get to by from Copenhagen. There are many statues and inside are rooms filled with incredible modern art. The location, along the water, with huge trees around it make it quite magical. We ate at the restaurant which had lovely choices and great ambience. Would highly adding this into an itinerary for Copenhagen. Great with very interesting exhibitions.
