Berni teaches with passion, confidence, patience and awareness and makes sure to be clear on every single step of the process. He has a logical answer for each question and often a real life example from his past as well. He shows you how to do things as well as how not to and why not to, demonstrating both. He prioritizes safety above all else and also ensures it throughout the whole course. He optimizes each day from teaching perspective, so be prepared to learn alot, both by listening and by doing. During the High Alpine course I took part of I leaned more than I even expected to and took a million notes (I recommend bringing a little notebook, to be able to also draw indications) and my only regret is that I don't speak German natively, so that I could have gotten even more of the small details. I cannot recommend Berni enough, he is a wonderful person, teacher and guide, and I look forward to taking another course with him. Wir hatten einen mehrtägigen Hochtouren Kurs bei ihm und haben alles von Mehrseillängen klettern, Knoten, Selbstsicherung und Spaltenbergung bis Tourenplanung gelernt. Berni hat sich Zeit genommen und alles super anschaulich erklärt sodass man wirklich Vertrauen in sich, sein Equipment und seine Fähigkeiten gewonnen hat. Servus, die 5* sind leider nur ein bildlicher Ausdruck und braucht viele Worte um es zu beschreiben. Kurz und Knapp, als staatlich geprüfter Bergführer 100% emphatisch und mit jedem Wissenzuwachs wurde genau erklärt warum man DAS macht, aber das ANDERE nicht. Für Laien mit etwas Begabung für den Berg einfach und verständlich. Ich werde keine Kurse mehr beim DAV buchen und nur noch zum Bernie gehen, da weiß ich zukünftig genau was ich bekomme. Ich war auf einem 4-tägigen Hochtourenkurs am Dachstein – und es war einfach großartig! Wir haben gelernt, Mehrseillängen zu klettern, mit Steigeisen über den Gletscher zu gehen und durften sogar ins Eisklettern reinschnuppern. Dazu gab’s viele wertvolle Tipps für zukünftige Touren. Unser Bergführer Berni war extrem kompetent, sehr geduldig und super sympathisch, von dem wir viel lernen durften. Vier Tage voller toller Erfahrungen, ganz viel Spaß und unvergesslicher Bergmomente!
