This is a beautifully preserved cloitre in remarkable condition for it age. Entry came as part of a multi pass tourist pass that we purchased for €15 which gives you access to 4 monuments and 2 museums. It provides the perfect backdrop for some beautiful photos, but like many historic monuments in France, there is a lack of information in English. It's well worth the visit to see both the Gothic and Romanesque architecture in the one building. It's like two separate buildings in one. Considering the buildings date back to the twelfth century, the detail of the workmanship is astonishing. You can tell a lot of time and effort has gone into the restoration process too. This was my favourite site in Arles - lots to see, and a beautiful sanctuary if you’re lucky enough to visit when it’s not too busy. I really loved this place it's another destination if you buy the 19 euro Pass Advantage for access to all the ancient sites in Arles. Well worth the expense. There's something about a cloister. It's a very serene environment even though men or women of the cloth no longer live there. Maybe it's the residue of their prayer and devotion. Go to the top, sit in the shade and pray or meditate. Beautiful cloitre, with quite a bit of ancient sculpture nearly intact and still showing the intricate details. I actually prefer the church itself, which is also free, but I think this is worth a visit, particularly if you like stonework 4.5 - very good condition and if you look closely at the columns, each has a different scene from the Bible. It’s just very small but it is worth it if you get the pack of tickets. I would’ve rated it a 5 if they did something to the middle to spruce up the place lol it’s all dead foliage and we visited in spring lol get some water and fertilizer in there and it would be a 5 from me Not sure I would pay for the ticket individually, but I definitely recommend stopping here if you get an Arles multi location pass, we got a Liberty Pass. The associated church access is free. Inside there are photography show as typical of Arles Beautiful and calm place in the middle of the city. Visiting Arles you can buy combined pass for 4 monumenta and 2 museums for just 9 € (ask for a discount if you stay in a hotel or Airbnb in Arles). We visited closter, arena and Roman theatre which would be about 20 € buying tickets separately. With the pass you have also discount in other monuments or castles around Arles.
