We didn't visit the town but apparently only 5 minutes away. Easy facilities located just outside the barrier. Unfortunately some dog owners do not clear up their dogs mess which is nothing to do with the aire but just a note to others to be wary when walking! Here's the aire (in the rain!!) A standard CCP aire. It is very well located for a visit to the Pont du Gard (20 mins or thereabouts). The www was down at the site, requiring a phone call to their HQ to get the barrier raised on entering and leaving. It was a bit inconvenient, but no worse than that. We didn't visit Remoulins itself, thanks to the massive thunderstorm that arrived late afternoon. Great camping car park aire. Good surface by the river. A short to the big aqueduct and shops in the town the other direction. Felt nice and safe. Service point is just outside the entrance and needs the card to activate it Excellent site, not far from the Pont du Gard. It took us about 10 minutes to cycle there along cycle tracks. The Aire is not far from the river which was a popular place fir swimming and cooling down Stayed for 1 night to visit the Pont du Gard viaduct. We arrived at about 2:30pm. The Aire was fairly busy, but we managed to get a decent pitch. Although by 5pm it was full. Good location action to to the Pont du Gard approx 40-minutes and 5 minutes onto town. Quiet at night. Nice large pitches. Surprisingly peaceful location, not even the train sounds bothered in the night. The aqueduct is definitely worth visiting and the there was easy. Great stop off for visiting Port du Gard and into village.
