Small garden, nice flowers and great view from the top of the tower. Unfortunately few explanations and nothing in English. We were given a chart at the beginning of the visit, in English but with very little information. The is very educational and there are some very special specimen plants. The towers are very interesting too but the climb to the top almost killed me. There are rooms with graffiti which was a nice surprise. The visit ended with a glass of a herbal infusion which was very pleasant and we sat enjoying the space. The receptionist was helpful and explained that we should keep our ticket because we can get a discount on many different attractions in the region. The ticket to the medieval was 7 euros. We received a 5 euro discount for the nimes roman museum ticket that included the arena, tower, museum and the carre. Fantastic You walk up a slight slope onto the grounds of 2 towers. The stairs are steep if you decide to climb the tower. The medieval gardens are planned nicely with many herbs located in one area, and flowers located in 2 other areas. Inside the are descriptive plaques describing certain exhibits. The writings and pictures on walls of prisoner areas were very interesting. A negative to this tourist attraction is everything is written in French which is unfortunate. I would have liked to read and understand more about this historic site while visiting. The admission is 7 eu per adult as of May 2022. ****Thank you for your kind response. I was not aware a guide was available in 7 languages. I’m sorry I missed that opportunity. If you are into botany and the use of herbs on early medicine very interesting, otherwise less so. There's also a climb to the top of the up a rather steep and spiral staircase - not for the faint hearted What a wonderful find as we explored the lovely town of Uzes. Tucked away amongst the winding small streets, this experience was a little bit magical and a whole lot of fascinating history. Keep in mind that the medieval towers are still in their "original " state and that climbing up the stairs was an adventure all on its own! A nice refreshing tea was offered at the end of our visit along with the garden's sweet cat who enjoyed our attention! The was beautiful and well looked after. Would recommend for someone who loves plants. There was a tall to climb onto with a stunning view of Ubez from the top. At the bottom we welcomed the complimentary tiny cup of refreshing cold tea Fantastic garden, exhibitions and towers with plenty of labelled plants, signs about the history of the building and guide sheets in various languages including English. The main has 100 steps but thankfully with several floors you can pause in to catch your breath. Stunning views at the top of the of the whole of Uzès. An extra treat was herbal tea (free) when leaving. This little is just lovely, a respite from the busyness of the town on market day. The had a fabulous view and was definitely worth the climb. The people were very friendly and gave us a tasty little drink at the end of our visit. There were also a few fine art exhibitions scattered through the space, of decent quality.
