It is a beautiful well maintained park. Scenic and have a lot of space to walk around Free parking available inside the park. Great kids play and climbing frames, they have little bird's nest's for the kids to climb in. Take plenty of seed to feed the ducks and geese. Plenty of open space for a picnic and there is a large Tesco just down the road for drinks and snacks. Great outdoor open space for all ages they have a outside gym too, it has a massive golf course which can be used as a cricket, football, other sports and picnic fields which the beautiful stone path leads to. They have reasonable parking space. The also had a tennis and badminton courses and a beautiful botanical seating near the courts, the consists of a lake with many ducks and swans. My chidlren love coming here so do I as its my childhood favourite Best in rochdale Beautiful park. Only one thing to bear in mind lots of geese, they are beautiful, but they pooping everywhere 😁🤣 A nice to walk around and plenary to do with the children, little steam train rides (only operate on a weekend) the area, fields to run around and the tennis courts too! Lost of areas to have a picnic or even sit and take a minute! Which you may need if you use the adult gym equipment!They past 12 months has seen the used more than even and unfortunately lots of litter around with overflowing bins which is sad to see!
