This is one of the more spectacular hiking tours you can make along one of the waterways, originally constructed to irrigate the fields in the Rhône valley some 600 years ago. It has been carefully restored to invite visitors to share this cultural heritage. For obvious reasons, the bisse is closed in rainy weather, mostly because of the risk for stones being detached from the steep slopes above the gangways. In good weather the hike is well secured and there is little uphill effort. Dogs should be kept attached and children under control. One section of the bisse is demonstrating the construction methods for hanging water- and gangways on a steep mountain side which is highly educational. Nice place, one of the most remarkable canals in Valais. Worth half a day hiking in good weather. Wow, this is some walk! On arrival there is a choice of 3 carparks. Parking 1 is huge with an information office, but only necessary to use that at peak times in the summer. Parking 2 is another 2km further on and you access the via a steep 100m path. Unofficial Parking 3 has space for 4-5 cars and is where Google maps takes you, the crosses the road about 20m above the parking, but then you will miss most of the pleasant canal section. The itself is 5km ( from Parking 2) and takes just over 2 hours out and back. On the there are 2 cafes, 2 chapels, a tunnel, waterfalls and 3 long suspension bridges. This is not for the faint hearted or those of a nervous disposition. At many places there is very little between you and a drop of several hundred metres. And those bridges, whilst the locals skipped across unconcerned by the swaying I gripped both handrails very tightly. A really great walk, if a little nerve-wracking. Easy (as long as you aren't afraid of heights!) with spectacular views. The cafés on either side of the are lovely too. Very nice, 4 bridges, about 2 hours to go from the parking lot and back if you do all of it. The are amazing. Just be careful with little kids and dogs, it could be a bit dangerous in some parts. It's free. Plenty of parking spaces. You can see wild animals like wild goats and birds. Absolutely stunning, not crowded, and easy walk/hike, unless you're afraid of heights. Even on a hazy day, the are spectacular. Fully recommend it to anyone who visits the region. Nice Scenic Hike , I went in at 0830hrs, no people at all, gets more crowded on my way out, might need to queue up to cross the suspension bridge. not suitable for people with height problems especially with the 3 suspension bridge. Can make a 2 chf donation at the chapel towards the end to light the candles. Beautiful all along! High suspension were lots of fun. Mostly in the shade which was nice on a hot day! Another construction that amazed me. Centuries ago the local farmers wanted to irrigate their crops and built wooden channels on the sides of sheer cliffs. Anyone can now visit in relative safety thanks to modern walkways and rope bridges. There is still a need to watch out for stones dislodged by chamois on the cliffs above your head. Torrent Neuf is a charming place in Switzerland, known primarily for its breathtaking hanging that attract tourists from around the world. The area is very picturesque and green, which makes it an ideal place for a relaxing in nature and a bit of adrenaline. For the more active people there are also hiking trails and climbing opportunities. It is worth visiting this place to feel the atmosphere of Swiss nature and see unforgettable views. A great place to walk, not too steep. Not for the faint hearted perhaps, the suspension and paths were all quite high up and a little scary (but still very enjoyable)! Nice and easy hiking trail with great Easy hike around a mountain that lasts about 2 hours back and forth, includes gorgeous and three hanging that will take your breath away. Spectaculair hike! Bring your camera and leave your fear of heights at home… easy hike, just dont go if afraid of heights I took my parents on a here while over from New Zealand and was very easy! One little hill at the start and then the rest is flat. 2 little cafe stops along the way that do limited food (chips and mini meat + bread platter) and drinks. Very peaceful and the are amazing! I love how peaceful this was and would love to do it again but when it’s winter.
