Not that big but workable. A lot of exhibits and play corner for kids. For an adult is not very big, but it’s fair for kids. They can play LEGO and other train toys here. This is a cute museum, especially for children, but it's not worth a big detour. The itself is only half the building's interior, and much of the exhibits on display are various items collected between the early 1800's to present day. There are quite a number of landscapes with set up and running, but many are very small. Only three are a reasonable size, of which two are larger format model set up down stairs. The other is a Piko set on the second floor, which has some nice dynamic lighting and many lovely details. In all, however, the is a bit disappointing. All exhibits are safely behind plexiglass, and while it's understandable with all the children, it is difficult to view all the details this way. You will no doubt have children running around you during your visit mashing all the buttons to operate the trains. There's a very sad coffee corner, and unfortunately no cafes nearby. Relatively small with a couple of true gems that still make it worth a visit. Good for children Nice, small and cozy with friendly staff. What a little gem! The looks very beautiful and exhibits the great history of and small train. All done by amateurs and volunteers. A must visit when in Sneek! :) Nice for Kids and Train-Fans It's a quite fun with lots of pretty model most of which also run, though sadly the old tin ones did not :( many beautiful intricately detailed themed model railways as well. Plus general information on train history. Recommended, quite affordable and will make for a fun two hours! Interesting and detailed model railway exibitions. Could wstch the go round all day. A good place to spend an hour or so on a rainy day. Kids will love it😄. Free parking at the P&R next door.
