Leeuwarden, Netherlands Holiday park

One of the Best Places To Visits in Offingawier Top-rated.online cuts through the clutter, highlighting only the reviews that are most helpful, earn the most likes, or come from the most active contributors. We hadn't pre booked, the reception staff were friendly and welcoming, they had space and let you check out the site pitch before confirming. Made use of the out of season discount card. Excellent location with most of the services still open. The toilet facilities were of a good standard. We enjoyed our stay and following the excellent Dutch cycle ways in the surrounding area. Good location 👌 nice to see the sun set and sun rise from the accommodation The positive part of the park is that receptionists were very friendly and helpful and that the restaurant was above expectations very good. The location of chalet no. 12 was also pretty. But that was it. The chalet was outdated and greasy. The worse of all was the party in the house opposite of us, no. 7 but most likely several houses around us. The party including about 20-30 people did not stop until 3 am while park policy is "silence after 11pm". Of course, people did not care when reminding them at 11:30 pm. When calling 088- and 085-lines we did not receive any response. No sight of security on the park. As if people behave as you wish to. Well, it was our last visit at De Potten. Luckily there are more responsible parks in the surrounding. I didnt enjoy that much becouse it was all the time raining even we couldnt go to the toilet me and the children when we needed to from the rain and it was a bit far from the tent. Our home was dirty on arrival, the shower drain is clogged, there were dishes in the dishwasher, there was dirty laundry in one of the closets. Told the reception and they would send a cleaning crew which never came. We think the house wasn't cleaned before our arrival as there also was no welcome package and there were only 3 out of 6 bed sheet packages. There are no mosquito screens in the windows. Which means mosquitos all night long. Our toddler had about 20 mosquito bites after a few days. The shower/hot water is unstable. While trying to take a lukewarm shower it would start to run very cold. You then had to reduce the cold water tap which meant it would run scalding hot. Not so comfortable with a toddler. The kitchen, although functional, urgently required a reskin/maintenance. Some doors were crooked, the plastic covers were falling off some doors, which is fun with a toddler who likes to pull on things. Other than that the appliances work, do check the fridge temperature setting, ours was set to 1/7. Which means it wasn't really cold to the touch. Also the couches are quite ok, which was unexpected and the television is big. Wi-fi works. The free wi-fi is good enough to watch Netflix. No need to pay the 2eur per device per pay. Lack of Facilities on the campsite. No waterpoints near camping spots, only at the sanitary station which is outdated and not always very clean. Staff at the restaurant was unfriendly, no willingness to create any shade at the terras with view on the playground, while we were with a small child, dog and pregnancy. Overall: camping way too overpriced for what it has to offer. Luckily the view of the lake was nice, but you can get that for free somewhere else.
