Restaurat în totalitate, Conacul Nicolae Bălcescu din județul Vâlcea este o capodoperă arhitecturală și m-a cucerit din prima secundă. Am admirat aici numeroase piese de patrimoniu constând în mobilier deosebit de epocă, tablouri de familie, ceramică, icoane, documente, manuscrise. Cel mai mult am fost fascinată de fabuloasele sobe originale, exceptional decorate, care se aflau în fiecare încăpere și care sunt incredibil de frumoase. Domnul muzeograf ne-a prezentat cu maxim profesionalism toate încăperile conacului și ne-a oferit informații valoroase și inedite despre Nicolae Bălcescu. Pe domeniu se află și Biserica de lemn din Gâltofani, amplasată în frumosul Parc al Conacului și având o pictură interioară deosebită. Eu am fost extrem de încântată de vizita la Conacul Nicolae Bălcescu. Recomand din toată inima!♥️ Very nice guide. The building follows Romanian traditional architecture style, it's located in a lovely natural and green environment, very peaceful and soothing. Plus, the exhibition provides good information about 1848 revolution across Europe and in Romania and about Nicolae Bălcescu and his family. It's easily accessible from the main road (Pitești - Râmnicu-Vâlcea). A must for visitors in the area. Take a guided tour. Don't miss the church and temporary exhibitions. Is an impressive house, allowing visitors to step into the old world of the nobility of the 19 century. Recent renovat, merita vizitat pentru ca pastreaza amintirea unui mare roman. Beautiful Manor in a good size landscaped garden with the hand-painted orthodox Chapel. Our guide spoke French and was very knowledgeable. The inside of the Manor shows rooms how they would have looked in the 19th century and the rest are displays on Nicolae Balcescu and the 1948 revolution. Ery interesting! Visited weekday and only one other family was there. Its worth going if you are interested in architecture and history. Pe site figurează deschis, iar când am ajuns e inchis pentru ca cei de la consiliul județean au ședința. Venim din judetul Caraș, am deviat de la traseul inițial ca să vizitam muzeul și am rămas cu cel mai amar gust pentru ca sfidarea și nesimțirea celor care ne conduc nu mai au limite. Am descoperit aici,datorita domnului muzeograf care ne-a insotit si ne-a prezentat un crâmpei de istorie locala ,dar mai ales nationala. Este un exemplu clar de "Asa da! ".
