Knowing it might be busy, we booked a table in advance. And yes, it was really crowded, but thankfully our table was reserved. We were happy we didn’t have to wait in line for lunch. We ordered and started waiting. Time passed... and passed. Well, lots of people, we thought, and we could see others waiting too. Drinks arrived after 1 hour and 10 minutes. Yes, you read that right! They apologized, saying it’s very busy today. But that wasn’t the end. After two hours — still no food. We started getting nervous. Other tables were already eating. Waitresses avoided eye contact and rushed around. We went to the counter and found out their electronic system had "crashed" and never sent our order to the kitchen. When we asked when our food would come, the answer was: "Please wait." After 2 hours and 10 minutes, we gave up and left. No clear answer on when the food would be ready. At least they didn’t charge us for the drinks. Thanks for the free juices for the kids and kvass for us — should have ordered something fancier! We understand that sometimes technology fails and there are crowds, but still — the staff could have noticed sooner instead of blaming the “new system” that was just installed. Well, next time we’re in Stende, we’ll just keep driving to Talsi — where at least we found a nice bistro and got to eat. Luckily, we were with old friends, so the time passed a bit more pleasantly — even with empty stomachs. And, well, "thanks" again for the kvass! Place brilliant Food good Customer Service and staff very rude and unprofessional . First time there and it was hard to find the entrance, should work on a sign for that! Unwelcoming staff, more rude actually (one person) put me off straight away so it was hard to enjoy it afterwards! Food overall was good! Big portions of good food for nominal cost. Nice ambience.
