We stopped for a coffee and beer only, yet immediately felt in love with this beautiful and cosy place by the Baltic Sea. Lonely terrace, nice service. And good coffee and local beers. The was very bad, at one point I had to take napkins from the toilet because apparently they did not have any in the whole restaurant. Very slow and constantly had to remind ourselves. Made a reservation for 7 people and when we showed up there was no table so we had to help them bring out and arrange the tables. When going to Hiiumaa I would expect at least some local fish on the menu. The food was okei but the mains courses were all slightly overcooked. The best thing was that they charged me 7 euros for a bottle of the cheapest store water that you could find. It isn't even about the money but about how they served it, in a random plastic COOP bottle. MasterChef level Excellent food, horrible service. We were one of only 3 tables at the restaurant, with about 10 people in total at the place. It took 1 hour and 15 minutes for the appetizers (!) to arrive, and another hour after that for the main course. And it wasn't just us, everyone in the restaurant was waiting for that long. The felt almost hostile. The single waitress had a profound air of just being utterly done with the world. I am Estonian and I do not expect Western style of service, but this was something else. Everything took super long to arrivd, and it was very difficult, bordering on impossible, to get ahold of someone to order drinks (of which we needed several rounds, on account of the 2.5 hour wait for the food), to the point that other guests were wandering behind the bar counter to look into the kitchen to see if they could find someone, anyone, to pay even the slightest attention to them. It was so bad it actually became funny by the end of it. Overall, I enjoyed the food, but I don't think it'd be worth going back a second time, purely because of the wait and the experience. Recommend, very tasty food and nice atmosphere. Also very kid-friendly + nice size playground. Must visit this place when visiting Hiiumaa for sure! Be alert to book first to have place to eat! Food was excellent BUT we have to wait 45 minutes to get first drinks (no water etc) and during that time two waiters came to ask our orders....everytime food first and then drinks.... and at end they said that deserts are for somebody else..... AND we got information from harbourcaptain that we should take reservations (which we did 11:15) SO this Masterchef Estonia place is not worth of visit! almost 200€ for nothing........ The was incredibly friendly and the food was simply divine — a definite must when you're in Hiiumaa! Extremely disappointing. We had a reservation. Menu had 2 meat dishes, both with mashed potatoes which they had run out. I asked to maybe substitute with goat cheese salad, they said no, said we will get a double side salad. Pictured salad was supposed to be FOUR SERVINGS (double portion, to be shared by 2). was really slow and not really customer oriented. Got 1 dish and second one 10 min later, no restoran etiquette. Food was great, though left hungry after paying 18 euros for a dish.
