Our impression from a visit together with Australian friends however is that the place is ideal for the 50-plus generation but is probably less attractive for young golfers or golfers-to-be. Had an amazing time here, lovely location and super friendly staff! We played in two flights, one of 2 and one of 3. The team got us set up with buggies, ice boxes and drinks…it was a really warm day and they made sure we could really enjoy ourselves. Great 18 hole course, and we finished it off with a nice round of beers at the restaurant overlooking the 18th island green. Stunning 'clubhouse', and beautiful course. Relatively flat so not too physically taxing. Great condition, varied fairways and hole design. Some long par 5s and 4s and plenty of tempting dog legs. Well positioned bunkers. 18th par 3 on an island in view of the moated Schloss. Not that I paid but very reasonable green fees. Well worth a visit if visiting this part of beautiful Germany Absolutely stunning course with fantastic events and brilliant management & team. Absolute must play! I played here in early July. What a fantastic course! The fairways and greens were all in immaculate condition and the layout was a great use of the natural land terrain. The course is not too long, but requires substantial accuracy to stay out of trouble and shoot a good score. The greens are very undulating and a good short game will be required. The practice facilities were also great. A very good driving range and putting green facility is available before your round of golf. All the employees were very friendly in the pro shop and were able to help me (who doesn’t speak German) with ease. After the round we had wonderful food in the outdoor patio area. The smoked rack of ribs were as good as you get in Texas! Absolutely top notch quality food! Overall a really superb experience from check in to an after round meal. Will definitely play at Schloss-Miel again when I am back in the area! The visit in Schloss Miel was truly blessing us with the ultimate golfing experience. The club has an exceptional course quality, excellent service, and an unbelievable attention to detail. One can see that the management is really caring about the feel-good ambience and consumer experience on this course. I’ve played Europe’s most recognized courses and can conclude that this club truly is a masterful course which is highly renowned in the region but in parts still a hidden champion in the European landscape. With its premium courses and stunning natural surroundings Schloss Miel can be considered as one of the best courses in Europe for professional and amateur players. Golfclub Schloss Miel is simply outstanding! The course is beautifully maintained, with every hole offering its own unique charm and challenge. The fairways and greens are in perfect condition, making every round a real pleasure. On top of that, the setting around the Schloss is absolutely stunning – it feels like playing in the middle of a fairytale. The atmosphere at the club is warm and welcoming, and you can really feel the passion for the game everywhere. For me, it’s without a doubt the best course in Germany. Every visit is an experience, and I can’t wait to be back out on the course again soon! A really beautiful course with absolutely top peripherals. Always top class in shape: the greens, fairways and whatever you look at or play, it is always immaculate. Go and try it all for yourself, you‘ll love it.
