Nice paragliding shop. Friendly workers. Bought a cool bag here to keep all my flying stuff traveling to and from launch. Has some of everything you could need for paragliding. We had such an amazing time! Magical! But please be aware…When we returned to our car in the parking lot after our flights, we found our car windows smashed in and all of our suitcases and belongings stolen. We have nothing now and my vacation in France with my daughter is completely ruined. It’s a horrible feeling. No police in St Hilaire de Touvet, police in neighboring villages don’t work Wednesdays and the one and only police department 30 minutes away was on lunch. We waited two hours to finally file a claim with the police. It was and still is an absolute nightmares. A huge shout out to July at the Office de tourisme who was our angel. She helped and comforted us. We made sure everything in our car was covered but the Swiss license plate gave us away🥵 Experience of a life time. Fantastic service and very professional guys. Recommend for all the family 😉 Absolutely amazing school, especially the who have a wealth of knowledge. I thoroughly enjoyed my tandem flight. I’ll be back when I’m next in the area. Teaching style at prevol is great, lot of practice, lot of coaching and direct feedback, even video reviews after each flight!! And as a wind lover, I also loved class, getting to understand the winds and conditions to fly in! If you are an english speaker just let them know, and they will make sure you are covered! Thank you for this special experience, I will never forget my first flight!! What a week. First solo flight was incredibly cool. Thank you, Loid and Yanno, for guiding us through all the ground handling, safety protocols, wind knowledge, and jokes. You guys made me feel very save, and in control. It was so rewarding to spend a week in flight school. Would recommend it to everyone curious about the sky! Thank you all the Prévol team - for opening up the world of free flying to me - you are simply the best. Excellent - eager to pass on their love for flying, respecting security and best of all - it seems they have such fun doing it. Recommend Prévol whole-heartedly and am eager to come back for more training. I am a US-based instructor, spending the summer in France. I wanted to take a beginner's course in France for a couple of reasons: 1) to experience legendary French first hand, and 2) to fix some of the fundamentals in my own practice. I joined the brand new pilots on their first day, and spent two days immersed in the program as a student, followed by the remainder of the week, were I did my own flights, but stopped by to join them for lunch and to get some more pointers and insights from the instructors. My first goal was well met with direct experience, observation and direct commentary from the instructors. Even with my extremely limited French, they were able to give me a glimpse of why the quality of French instruction is so high. I loved the methodology and the light-hearted and yet serious environment. The progression was well paced to educate while mitigating risk in a thoughtful and careful way. By the end of the week, most of the students were able to launch, fly and land with confidence and minimal radio guidance from the instructors. My second goal of personal guidance was met with a focus on my forward launch technique. This is not something we spent a lot of time on in my own training, and the guidance is usually to focus on an aggressive run, using speed and power to get the wing up and yourself off the hill. The pretty much rebuilt my launch technique from scratch, braking it down into the components of inflation, stabilization, decision and acceleration into a launch. It took the first day and much of the second to really get what I was supposed to do, but then it clicked and by the end of the week I had consistent high-quality launches with a much less risky and more nuanced cadence. The slow walk to inflate was a huge adjustment and took me a while to trust that it would work, but it does! It is a much less risky pacing, and provides much better opportunity for decision making and a smoother transition into take-off, minimizing oscillation of the glider. I'm excited to go home and practice this more to truly internalize it. I'm also eager to work it into my own program and to develop it together with my students to improve their own safety. I highly recommend this type of opportunity to anyone looking to learn about paragliding. Brand new pilots, as well as experienced instructors, benefit from of their fundamental skills. Prevol, specifically, has been an amazing team to work with. I have purchased gear, recommended them to friends, and booked personal with them. All were terrific experiences!
