Really liked it here. Plenty to look at and learn. Plan some time so you can read about the exhibits. Worth borrowing the book on reception as a guide. Otherwise make sure you have a translate app on your phone. It's worth it. Reccomended. Fascinating showcasing an important time in Norway’s history and its resistance against repression. Well worth the visit. Only a short drive or bus journey from the town. A really interesting that teaches you a lot about Norway's experiences in WW2. We spent a very worth while hour and a half there. Well worth a visit. Fantastic , Lots of items on showcase here , Guide book has numbers that correlate to the exhibits so you can see what things are in english ( and I'm sure they have it in other languages also) , You can also purchase the guide book for 50 nok to support the , There is a small cafe in the entrance that sells drinks and other merchandise Impressive and memorable! I’ve never seen a tank this close before – the size, the detail, the history behind it… everything makes it a must-see. A powerful experience, even if you’re not a military enthusiast. A very interesting private collection of WWII memorabilia based around the German occupation of Norway. Worth a visit if you have a couple of hours to spare. A most interesting museum, the artefacts that they have gathered are extraordinary and the setting puts the whole situation into context. Our Cruise arranged a knowledgeable guide to accompany us, but we also bought the English guidebook (it is free to use whilst you are in the museum). Fabulous place do not miss it has 3 floors my favourite was the top floor all exhibitions are fascinating and well worth the small entrance fee. Staff are welcoming there is a lift (elevator) to get you up to all floors for accessibility issues . Really good exibition the English quide booked helped but so much info in Norwegian slowed it down but the equipment looked genuine and a lot of it. A ‘Tardis’ of a building, the amount of detail in the local history of the wartime experiences, weapons and everyday stuff was exceptional, very well presented and informative.
