A really good and confectionery cafe where you can sit outside and people watch. It felt like we were sitting in someone's garden in the shade, being looked after and having a very nice afternoon tea. Quiet oasis for a coffee, tea and an amazing selection of cakes, sweet desserts and savoury nibbles. Double espresso was a wee bit stingy but otherwise delicious. I recommend Mákos rétes. Coffee is the also great here. 😟We chose this particulary place based on the Google reviews, but we where really disappointed. We ordered 2 different slices of and ate them at their location, and a cone with 2 cups of ice cream. We also bought another 4 different slices of and tried them at home. Every type of is very good looking, but the taste wasn't what we expected.....Lack of flavours or unbalanced. We've eaten much tastier in Budapest, so there is no question of misunderstanding the local Hungarian taste in baking or pastry. 🧐 The same thing with the ice cream,..... It had a strange taste... Like a cheap ice cream bought from a supermarket. We bought so many kinds of because we wanted to try as many flavors as possible, being convinced that they will be delicious. But it seems we were wrong....
