They play a nice selection of music and are pet friendly as there are plenty of water bowls laying around the place. Toilet also available. Rating the "Hippo Beach", not the Restaurant "Hippo Beach", I can say: great beach, very wide and dogs are allowed all day all the year (it's the "dogs beach" even during times other areas are restricted). Parking area without fees nearby, tram stop nearby, toilets nearby, lots of trashcans along the beach, nudist area nearby and dunes nearby .. as well as jogging and wandering paths too. Deserves all stars, would rate 6/5. Clean beach ,not crowded.easy parking just come early.. Top drinks, not watered or skim, friendly service, nice view. Bathrooms available, if you pay the unfriendly ladies to go in. The management will likely do better with free bathrooms. We went to another beaches the rest of our vacations despite that this was the closest. It just doesn't feel right to pay every time you need to go to the toilet. The place was just about to close. I wanted a quick beer and the gentlemen at the bar said he can only do takeout can beer. I said it’s fine and then I tried to pay with a card but he said their card payment were already closed so he can’t do that and gave a beer for free. I’ve never seen that in my life. Im not rating the place, but the gentleman with a great heart.
