An amazing army of volunteers keeps this lovely going, so that it is able to host all manner of events including music, poetry, plays and comedy shows. It’s tucked away from the main shopping area but easy to find near the Law Courts and Library. There is an on-site carpark at weekends and, I believe, weekday evenings and there is also a bar. It’s a used by various local festivals including Stage4Beverley and the Folk Festival so there’s also something interesting to experience. It also hosts one of the local WI groups. Most of the performances are in the Auditorium but the Cafe Bar is also used as a smaller, more intimate setting. Came here for the Beverly big comedy night, great theatre. Just the right size for a comedy gig, good view from all seating positions. Stage is quite large. there is a nice little bar waiting area. Lovely well kept building. Love everything about it, only negative thing is it could do with air-con as it was absolutely roasting hot on the night (Maybe its not possible to add this due to it being grade II listed). Glad I brought a little electric fan. It was built as a Baptist chapel in 1910 and converted into a in 2014. Highly recommend this venue. I look forward to attending again at another comedy evening. First class venue. Excellent staff very helpful well organised. Full house for the show. International Guitarist The Galician King of Accoustic Guitar "Iago Banet" Incredibly talented entertainer Bet he gets booked back, Amazing guitarist! New for me i shall be keeping a close eye on what's on. Super venue!! What a beautiful venue. It's a wonderful place for theatre, comedy and music. It feels very quaint and not commercial at all and it's run by some very friendly volunteers. Lovely bar with a large selection of locally brewed beers and a large selection of 0% alcohol drinks. My wife and I really are in love with this venue. Great night of watching new work from local playwrites. Beautiful building and performance space. Friendly staff, clean and colourful facilities. It was my first time and I was gobsmacked by the 💓🫶💓 I adore coming to this theatre; such a wonderful atmosphere, and the productions have always been top notch. Very pleased to be able to support She Productions at ERT in particular, as well as their new relationship with Forbidden Theatre! Marvellous venue, thank you Just been to see Answering Machines at ERT.Such a thought provoking and interesting production and of course superlative acting by Vincent Regan. Its so good to see new work being developed, the Q & A especially helpful to understand the motivations of the writer and director - Do not miss it! Amazing with excellent shows, a great bar/café, and mostly run by friendly and passionate volunteers.
