I do recommended to renovation practice area. It's dirty and old!! But 3 are absolutely stunning as always!! You can see Pines Bar photos menu on my post! Our snack lunch is 👍🏻 👌. More of a 4.5, but just a couple of minor let downs. Firstly, it was about -1, so naturally the course was a bit frosty in places, but for £30 you won't get better value for a winter round of golf. We played the Forest/Pines layout, and every hole was different and presented different challenges. It is a well thought out lay out, where anything wayward will get punished, but not to the point of not feeling like you can get yourself out of a tight spot. The few let downs were - Some tee boxes were in play, others were off winter mats that were the size of doormats, and they were horrendously slippy (a mixture of the cold weather, but they were all well worn too). Every pin was right at the front edge of every green - Again, it's winter on a very course so naturally you expect the greens to be protected, but it just meant you were putting through a very trodden area each time, and for the better golfers out there, there was no real reward for finding the centre of a green, or flighting a shot over the hazards etc. The Pines Bar was a spot, but there was no indication if food was available, other than empty plates that had been left on 4 or 5 tables , and there wasn't a menu for food in sight. Overall, it's the middle of winter, so you're never going to see or play a course at it's true stature, so we will return in the Spring and see what it's like, but certainly worth the money at this of year It's OK. It's the only decent in area which gives them a bit of a monopoly. Rooms themselves are looking a little tired and could do with new carpet and and a deep clean (dust all around headboard). Beds are well past their best too. I had a with ac which only went down to 21c. I booked a with ac as I like a cold for sleeping in. Asking in reception I was told this is centrally controlled and can't be changed. A few hours later my colleague checks in and has also booked a with ac and his went down to 18. Few min on Google and mine went down to 16. I don't know if reception were told to say this due to penny pinching or if they didn't know or simply didn't care but I didn't really appreciate it after spending up to £200 a night for a room. Fitness facilities are OK with large pool, steam and sauna. Food doesn't have enough variety for evening meals and is very expensive. Sutton Arms down the road is if you want a change of scenery. Breakfast was excellent but coffee machine is powdered milk. Better with the filter coffee and fresh milk which is on offer. I really love staying at this hotel I always choose this hotel, we have been 4 times now. The last receptionist was NOT good Did not give us the information leaflet with the times, when we came again was not there, then was busy. So we missed out on our paid breakfast we came 10.30 am was told they closed at 10 am. We always came on the weekend and closed at 11 am, but after explaining to the kitchen manager, she made us some breakfast but could not get everything as we would have done if we're open. Went with my sister we had a brilliant time, lady on reception was lovely nicest reception lady I have ever had in a and I've been in a few. walk round course, spa lots more seating round the pool this time. I'm glad they didn't have the ice machine in the spa as the last we went, kids were eating it not when customers use it on there bodys. Restaurant after walk round course was very after for coffee ☕️ our was amazing cannot fault any thing in the hotel. Outside was lovely too, only one thing could have looked better is the little park area needs a bit of tidy up. Dinner and breakfast were amazing too in the restaurant, me and my sister are going to make it our yearly thing. Thank you for making our amazing. courses, well run I've just played forest pines in January ,it was dampish but it is winter and all the greens were open, layout, you will need to be straight to enjoy these 3 loops of nine. In the summer it's beautiful when all the trees are leafy. It's a very busy course but with a slow pace most of the time. Food and drink is expensive. 1 doz pro v1 £50. Don't let this put you off it's a fantastic test of and I always look forward to playing it in summer. Didn’t go for or the spa, or food, just a overnight. £115.09 for a Saturday night. Experience was above average, the Classic Queen itself is a bit smaller than a standard Premier Inn one. Bathroom but the shower / bath screen setup is a bit cramped for a tall person. I found the location of the (314) had a poor view over the bins outside and was also quite noisy through the night due to what sounds like a laundry / boiler underneath it. 2 of the electrical sockets didn’t work. Bed was comfy but wobbled a bit. was clean though. Good full size TV on a stand, aircon and also decent quality easy connect WiFi. Overall average value for money and on a room-only basis I’m not sure I’d recommend it over anywhere else. Just went for a weekend for 32 people and couldn’t speak highly enough of the venue. The starter was and was accommodating for us whilst explaining the etiquette and rules of the course. The restaurant was also great, they pre emptied our round running late and pushed our dinner back to avoid us needing to rush. Bar stayed open as late as enough of us stayed up, perfect. If you’re in a society I would recommend a visit. Returned for a round of after many years since my last visit, pro shop is still very with a solid selection of gear. Breakfast sandwich and coffee in the upstairs bar was very and friendly staff. Regarding the course I was left a little disappointed, it has been a long since my last visit of which I remember it being excellent but the course seemed a little tired. The greens were very patchy in places and painfully slow, and fairways and tee boxes were quite long. That being said it’s still kept tidy around the and it’s still a very looking course on the eye and a testing track. Not even the best course in the Q group anymore, never mind Lincolnshire. Understandable that we've had no rain for weeks but you can at least turn in the irrigation on the tee boxes! Membership fees have increased, number of points per round for Fairway members has increased as has comp entries and this is the standard of the course - embarrassing. Previously Lincolnshire's premier golfing destination, now it might as well be a council municipal!! This is a shame as it could be such a course. Fairways are mostly mud with patches of grass. The way they set the tee times up is wild and we had 3 groups backed up on every tee box on the back nine. was and the food was ok but I wouldn’t go back. All the where very friendly and helpful and that was the best thing about the place Well presented and mature forested course with three 9 hole which can be mixed to create your 18 holes. All facilities are excellent with attached for overnight parties with comfortable rooms and parking. Excellent food and service would definitely return. was and clean, all 3 looked thirsty. Fairways are rock hard, and grass is hard to spot. told me management have refused to turn on the sprinklers and it shows. We stayed on a deal with a 3 course meal, the food was tasteless and would never pay for it. Really poor course conditions for the amount of money pay. A superb location, the staff, food accommodation was brilliant. I would like to thank Susanne and Nancy, for their standard of cleanliness, it was excellent. All the serving were so accommodating, but a special mention should go to Emily and Abbie for going above and beyond. Awesome course. For a beginner like me, it teaches you discipline and game management. Loved every minute of my playing there…. stay, food, location. were friendly and attentive, I can't fault my stay and will certainly be back. Fantastic venue, brilliant and facilities with very friendly staff. Will be returning and would highly recommend! I recently stayed here with some friends and played 2 rounds of golf. The were in brilliant condition and the were throughout. I would highly recommend!
