Plenty of and birds to enjoy: peacocks, budgies, owls, ducks, goats, alpacas and guinea pigs. The sculptures in the enchanted wood are amazing. tea rooms which get very busy. Lovely little gift shop. We took the kids on a trek to find all the different coloured gnomes scattered around the grounds. While walking around there is plenty to see. Wildlife everywhere. I have never seen so many carp in one pond in my life 😍 There is a little play park for kids of most ages. Plenty of places to stop and sit for a break, loads of places to have a picnic. Overall a brilliant, relaxing place to be We really really enjoyed our few hours here. We will definitely be back again. And a special mention to the shop staff. They answered all of my questions about the different wildlife. They gave us all the information we could ask for. Very knowledgeable about the whole place. They didn't rush anyone and offered as much time as was needed. They even managed to cheer my grumpy 13 year old up which for me was the absolute highlight. Keep up the work and we will see you again 😍 This is a beautiful and serene place with and gardens you can wonder through in quiet silence. A place to sit and relax by the lake. I would recommend it fir a relaxing day out. There are tea rooms where you can get tea, coffee and food in the large courtyard. There are peacocks wondering around freely and goats in an enclosure plus avaries and guinea pigs and a large tortoise to see. Lived in the area all my life and never been to Elsham hall county park. !! A mistake……We had a fab time last week with our grandchildren, gnome hunt really kept our youngest entertained, she loved it. You would probably run out of things to do for full day but for a morning or afternoon. Sarah in the gift shop was so funny . I attended today for the first time with my mum and nephews. On approach to the carpark we had a view of the surrounding fields and the highland cow's field with sheep grazing alongside. The staff at the entrance were welcoming and friendly and willing to answer any questions we had. Some of the site was sectioned off for a wedding but we were still able to meander around most of the beautiful site and I can see why the bride and groom had picked this location. During our we also had the opportunity to meet some of the which was also INCLUDED in the entrance fee making it a bargain! We were able to stroke the baby goats, hold the baby Guinea pigs and brush the ponies hair at NO EXTRA COST which we all loved as the were so cute and friendly. We then continued exploring all the different before going for some ice-cream. If you sign up to the rewards scheme for every £6 spent means you get a star and every 5 stars collected gives you the opportunity to collect a FREE family day pass worth £28 so also something worth doing as we will definitely be going back after such a fabulous day. The site is disability friendly and majority of the site is accessable. Beautiful place to visit, the peacocks had peachicks which was so cute to see, the cafe is lovely. The carp in the love being hand fed, so buy a bag of food from the reception area and watch them take it from you. The gardens are & I chatted to one if the gardeners about an amazing lime coloured leaf tree I'd seen, he told me it was an Indian bean tree. There are there, Highland cow, goats, sheep and gunieapigs and rabbits. By the small stream there are sculptures of bees and dragon flies. Enjoyed good moments. But the walk was hindered by run down and untidy in and mostly around the fringes of the lake. The walled garden was in parts, but some were in need of TLC. Buildings that appeared beautiful on the outside just seemed very untidy and not very well presented inside, with signage and litter on the floor. Pathways and of display (not all - off the pathways around the lake) seemed very tired and disused. The choice of white gravel spread in of grassland to fill worn spots made the place feel a little untidy. Broken raised borders/beds with various amounts of wood just left on the pathway that also looked tired. There are other areas, but hopefully over time it will improve. I will return in future, just needs a bit more love and TLC in areas. Always about progress, and I have seen many private estates and public parks that have seen investment over time to improve the grounds. To end on a positive it does have for children, cafes are wonderful, especially The Hutch, food and drinks were delicious, the was an amazing sight, and to feed the fish was a joy, my partner absolutely fell in love with the lambs. place to and have a little stroll. Lots of different to see, a nice little cafe on site, and a playground. Animal feed can be purchased at the entrance, and it's a experience for kids to get to feed some of the animals. We enjoyed a nice walk around Elsham Hall today. It's a super place, peaceful and plenty of to see. We enjoyed our two hours strolling around the grounds. The only downside is the cost of admission. £8 for an adult and £6.50 for a five year old is a bit expensive, in my opinion. It soon adds up. You can get a family ticket but I'm sure the price does stop many local people from enjoying this place. day out with a picnic, nice play park. My friend and I enjoyed a mini afternoon tea, which was value, then had a stroll around the gardens and grounds and really enjoyed seeing and feeding the various animals.
