I decided to start at hight from Bad Ragaz and up through the 5 lake area all the way up to Pizol peak for the sunrise. It's rewarding. It's challenging. Some bits are dangerous, especially if weather is bad. Everything is doable with no specialist equipment. Be well prepared. There aren't many people on the pizol summit piece. It is a nice turquoise lake. It was not easy to hiking up to the top, maybe if you have a lot expert it is easier, but still need a good shoes for it. You have to take 4 cable car to get nearby and then just walking up to the top. The elevation is 2844m. If you ho after summer be prepared to bring a pullover and blanket if you want to sit and relax there...will be chilly. You should go back to the cable car by 4 ..the last will take you down...if not just down. Worth to see! Its boutique an 1 to go up but since I am just a beginner took me a little more. The view is incredible, be aware to arrive early before 10am and start hiking. It’s slippery on the way down, so be careful to wear the professional shoes. It’s definitely my favorite in Switzerland. Take a lift to the top and the whole area which takes about 5-6 hours including lunch. The lakes are stunning and the landscape is breathtaking. Level of the is average, not too hard as it doesn’t involve crazy tight roads or climbing. Whether you're taking on the classic and popular 5 Lake — which is absolutely worth it, super well-marked, and full of stunning views — or pushing a bit further to reach the Pizol summit itself (this though shorter and faster is somewhat more difficult), this whole region is just spectacular. The landscapes are unreal, the trails are in great condition, and every turn gives you another jaw-dropping view. It was an amazing experience, only hiked until the second lake because you need to be a bit prepared to walk uphill and to be on time before the last funicular leaves.
