Interesting place for hiking. You can find demos about hydrologic engineer research taken over by the nature. It is a pitty that all the explanations and info available on each demo is only in dutch. Nice place to walk the dog So cool! Really interesting as well as a beautiful walk through the woods. A fun, enriching experience, perfect for all ages. Kids would find it endlessly entertaining. Nice place for a woodland walk with a touch of Dutch historic interest. Nice walking and learning place to learn how we Dytch people conquer water and land. Lovely new cafe, sandwich with ham was lovely as well as the coffee. Nicw light wooden construction and big widows. Has many scale models of water works around the world. Plus it has beautiful paths. I don't think it will be good to go here if it's wet, but otherwise it's a really nice walk in the woods. Interesting place for hiker and kids. Free entrance & only you have to pay € 1 for the map. Must visit Waterloopbos is amazing. The artwork is impressive, and walking there feels like lost in time. The 'waterloop bos' is a forest full of hydraulic models once used to study the behavior of water. It is a National monument where hundreds of studies have been conducted. You will find remnants of the research into the Delta Works, but also of water works for exotic places such as the port of Lagos. The forest is freely accessible from sunrise to sunset. Marked walking routes lead you past the models of waterworks that lie like ruins in the forest. The old waterways are still intact and often well maintained, but here and there nature has been given free rein. The forest is easily accessible, also for people with walking difficulties. Beautiful mushrooms can be admired along the paths in autumn. The forest offers unique and beautiful images for photographers to capture throughout the seasons.
