When we arrived, the showers were not working, the reception is closed most of the day, and it was a little more expensive than other campings. Had a great time anyway. Noisy untill late. Cars driving all through the night. Loud talking. Will not stay again. Significantly more expensive (410 SEK) than most of the campgrounds we've stayed at during our bike trip the Kattegattleden. Not really set up for tent camping, as they direct you to sites amongst a bunch of RV, and seasonal caravans. The host also failed to inform me that you need to prepay for hot showers, so I was standing there naked, soap in hand trying to make their system work and ended taking a cold shower as a result. The restaurant salvages one star. The food was good and the service excellent. The reception has very limited hours where there's staff available. You can supposedly check in with a device that was broken when I was there. As a result, I didn't get to make use of the showers. There's a kitchen with some stoves and a microwave, but the stoves didn't work either. The sea is close by so going for a swim is really easy. Aren't you ashamed of yourselves? How can you run a business in this manner? Working hours in the reception from 9-12????? Outside of that your guest come and cannot check in because your machines DONT WORK. The workers in the bar have to scramble and do YOUR job. In the time we were there at least another 5 groups arrived and found themselves in the same situation. The staff in the bar was completely overwhelmed with the situation and had no explanation of why no one is the reception. No way to purchase a shower either???? I was given shower cards that didn't work!! Travelled the whole Scandinavia and this happens only in Sweden! As with many campgrounds in Sweden, you pay for a standard size pitch even if touring alone on a bicycle with a small tent. So, yes, it is expensive!! 420 Kroner for one person for one night. Having said that, the family next to me, 2 parents with 3 children, also paid 420 Kroner. Put that down to Swedish family friendliness and it doesn't hurt so much. (And don't think about the person with the massive motorhome paying only 30 Kroner more for electricity connection.) Once you are over the price, the location is fantastic on a nice summer's day. It is right next to the Kattegatt cycle path and for tent touring, if you can get one of the 5 lower pitches (in the 90ties numbers) then you can walk across the lawn, over a very quiet street, past the ice-cream van onto a glorious beach with shallow water that warms up quickly in the sun. Go even further beyond the price shock and treat yourself to a drink (and reasonably priced pizza) in the campground restaurant and the view is hard to beat. Other reviews have critiqued the showers etc, but I found this quite straight forward. You get a dongle that is pre-loaded with 4x3 minutes showers (which you can stop-start within the 3 minute session). If you want more, you need to pay extra. And, important for tent tourers, there is a kitchen with cooker, kettle, coffee machine etc and some tables and chairs if the weather is poor. Washrooms and toilets are like in many Swedish campgrounds: unusually low number of cubicles and strange combinations when compared to German/Dutch/UK ... let's face it, when compared to most other western European countries. But the Swedes pull it off, clean, no complaints here.
