Cafe in the former dining room of the family. The castle is amazing. Looks amazing and very interesting information for the whole family if you speak Hungarian. The only negative I can mention is the staff. The lady by the reception. She was having a private call with her family and she let us wait quite a while before she bothered to sell us tickets. And the guy at the door, he was talking to us like idiots as we didnt know what to do with the plastic cards we received at the reception. I was a bit worried when I learned the ticket to the castle would be 5K, but the collection was worth it. It is modern, with a lot of interactions, and you can even try on some clothing from other eras. The downside is the park around it; I wish it were better attended. You also have to pay for the parking. The palace is restored and the garden is wonderful, it gives you a feeling of peace and calm with the birds singing and trees that are hundreds of years old. Have cash for parking. Wonderful castle! I visited on a saturday and it was magical. The main floor is free to visit,this is where the main rooms are. If you want to visit also the upstairs and the tower it is just 500 Forint per person which is a bargain. They have a cute little terrace where you can have some coffee and drinks etc. If you are into history,castles or just need to getaway foe a few hours from the city this is the place for you. After you leave the castle surroundings and exit on the 1st gate to the left you can visit the horses and cows,you get a free ticket at the parking gate. Parking spots are plenty and costs 1500 forint per car. ⭐️ A really great place! There are some rooms with renovated interior, furniture and exhibits. Also there are interactive things, that can be interesting for children too. 🩷The workers are very friendly. ☕️🍰It’s possible to drink a coffee with a piece of cake, but there is no sandwiches or other food. ❗️If you use public transport, go to the bus stop in advance, because sometimes the bus doesn’t come even if it is in the timetable. Beautiful setting, well taken care of gardens, professionally managed museum experience. Great program for the whole family. Theres a horse ranch just beside the castle, which is a great addition to it. We spent a wonderful day here with the kids. So much to do and really enjoyable for all ages. The exhibition inside is very well done and interactive, we spent hours in there even though my kids usually get bored easily. They all really enjoyed it.
