The place is clean 👍🏻 Keep your heads up for flying objects in the sky, usually around sunrise/sunset. Usually not too busy. Stairs do shake a bit, especially on the top. Not recommended if you get easily scared. Very acceptable though, doesn’t feel unsafe. Dedicated parking place not available but parking can be easily done on the road 👍🏻 15 mins walk from the stairs. Friendly locals usually around. Featured in a Belgian tv show, to do it as part of a hike or bike ride. This place is popular, but still we were alone during sunset. This is great place to stop for sunset enjoy the moment. During summer time you can see air balloon flying around and it adds romance for this place. Maybe it will encourage you to take flight yourself, as the height of these stairs will be a bit not enough for you to touch the sky. The place is chosen carefully you can tell. Very and wide views of the surroundings and even (much) further. The place is well kept, as is the tower itself. There’s a big pic-nictable under the tower, largely enough for a family to sit at. There are two parking spots directly beneath the tower (reachable through a gravel road) but there’s a big parking less than 1km down from the tower, with a path connecting both. It's a good stop in between a hike, we can feel the steps moving at the top. If you’re planning a day out and ‘Vlooybergtoren’ is not far from where you’re going. It is a very extra thing to do. Vlooybergtoren is a staircase leading to “heaven”. Above you can enjoy a landscape view. It is a unique piece of art. I loved it! stop during bike-ride There's not much to see as such, but it is a quirky object, and it was to stretch legs on our long journey. Very romantic place to have a picnic! It is a beautiful place to go certainly by bike, a very view of everything around with some points of interest on top of it, and just left from it there is a little path that you can follow to go to the woods, it is free and open 24/7 This is one of the marvellous engineering architectures in Belgium. Sometimes there will be food truck( ice creams, soft drinks) available there. Otherwise you can bring your own food and spent sometime there.
