Beacuse it's rated "blue flag" it has everything you expect from a beach... Like lifeguard, water quality, pool for kids, WC, bar, etc... It's very good .. the water was almost tepid. The only down side it's like many other like this... Can get very crowded and shades are not that many. 🙈 Very beautiful river beach with very good and I would even say surprisingly good infrastructure for a small city that it is. It is definitely worth the day visit with a lunch at the nearby Portuguese restaurant. Nicely rebuilt infrastructure. Lots of room for swimming and playing. Lifeguards not present as visit was before July 1st. Very beautiful, easy to walk about, water still cold in April and public toilets were still locked.
