Took the Mrs for a time out spa afternoon and she loved it. 3 hours just isn't enough if you want to relax which is kinda the point. This was the most relaxed day ever. We were welcomed from the first moment and the check in was easy and quick. They gave us towels and robes and lead us to the changing rooms.(remember to bring your own flip flops) We started with a coffee and took some time near the pool. We really enjoyed every room specially the salt water one. The whole place was so tranquil. We been to the sauna as well and then had our dinner. I’ve been going to Nirvana for years. Decided to pay a full membership - nearly £200 per month and disappointed to find that towel & robe hire isn’t included in the full membership. But at £2 each per visit… that’s an extra £4 per on top of the membership fee. Other spa’s and gyms that are cheaper offer towel hire included in the membership cost. There are a variety of indoors and out, hydro pool, ice baths, steam room, sauna, tepidarium which is like a temple of calm, and so much more. It's definitely worth every penny and somewhere everyone should experience. Tad expensive but a atmosphere with food I booked a Serene Relaxation Day on a Friday in early April. This package offered access from 8:30am until closing and included a two course lunch and either a celestial floatation or pod experience. I chose a pod as I wanted to avoid bumping into people in the large pool. The pod was one of the most experiences I've ever known, and I will certainly be booking that again. The various pools, saunas, steam rooms, and hot tubs seemed very clean and well maintained. I found the tepidarium especially peaceful as it has comfortable 'hot rock' beds in a large room that smells lovely, and has a rule of keeping silent so you can doze or read a book in peace. As an added extra I booked a hydromassage bed, which was an interesting sensation and definitely worth trying, but I would recommend ear plugs or headphones as it is quite loud. Though they have a touch screen to play games or music if you'd prefer. Overall, delicious food, friendly staff, incredible facilities, and I slept like a log that night. I've just had the absolute best day here, a really special, beautiful place. So many rooms, pools, experiences. All of the were really and helpful and there were a lot of them, so if you needed anything there was always someone on hand. I had the day which was value for what it included and you had the option to be there all day and evening plus 2 course lunch and unlimited hot and cold soft drinks. Instead, we were met with coldness, condescension, and subtle yet undeniable racial bias that completely ruined our experience. From the moment we arrived, we were frowned at, brushed aside, and treated as though we didn’t belong there. looked us up and down and spoke to us dismissively. Our robes were stained and ripped—an immediate red flag for a spa of this reputation. The most upsetting moment came when my mother, dressed beautifully to mark her birthday, stepped out of the changing room to take a few photos. A member laughed at her, looked her up and down, and said, “We only wear robes in the dining area.” She was then told to go stand in the corridor if she wanted pictures. No kindness, no courtesy—just rudeness and judgment. This interaction left my mother feeling small and completely unwelcome. Despite being first-time visitors, the promised tour of the spa never happened. We were left to figure things out ourselves. The dining was also unacceptable—cold, tasteless food, complaints ignored, and we were still charged for dishes we didn’t eat. To make it worse, towels were taken from us by upstairs without asking, and we were left soaking wet with no replacements. I sent a detailed complaint to Nirvana Spa, clearly expressing how upsetting and discriminatory the was. Their response? Dismissive and lacking any sense of accountability. No apology, no acknowledgment of how we were treated, and no sign that they cared. What we experienced was more than just bad service—it was a complete failure in basic respect, professionalism, and inclusion.
