Top👍 I actually found this place by accident, and it was a lucky one. The place is super nice for children with many ferries and toys, and a mini gold with lots of sculpture. She would run around the sculptures in front of the restaurant and on the mini-golf course, and try various swings, ladders and carousels. I am sure these objects require some effort to maintain, but they were there for everyone to use. I don't know who owns and runs this place, but it's a really nice gesture from them to setup all of this and just let potential customers to use it. Sure enough, we also are in the restaurant, but it was not expensive. The dining place had a *real* metal stove with burning wood. The place certainly needs renovation, ... but it gives away this interesting nostalgic feeling, that somehow compensates for occasional hole here and there. I recommend everyone to stop by here. Well, if you want to know Winterthur you need to know the "Schützi". Almost all Winterthurer have some memories of it. They loved the Minigolf as a kid, went there to hang out in summer nights as a teen and go there every now and then for its legendary hamburger (locals: "Schützi Hämbe") a life long. The Schützenhaus is little weird but legend. Nice to relax and very good place 😄 Perfect place for showing to your offspring what it was like being a Swiss kid in the 80’s. Beats any hipster-curated retro 80’s BS with authenticity as it probably hasn’t been renovated since for a decade or three… Good value (simple) food and beverages.
