They have gluten free beer. The service was very good and friendly. Thank you. Food is fantastic, one of Kildare’s hidden gem’s. Staff very friendly. Super value for what you get and last but not least I love the Guinness, Great pint. All round very nice spot. Had a lovely meal here. The staff were genuinely friendly and attentive. The menu has a good variety and has some items you wouldn’t normally see on country pub menu. I really enjoyed the lamb pastrami. The portions were generous and well priced. All the deserts are homemade which is fantastic. We had the crumble and it was delicious. The Guinness was top level too. Some of the best pints I’ve had. Food was excellent, staff was super friendly! The restaurant is so freaking gorgeous, you can tell the owner really takes pride in the place. So cozy and inviting. Cannot recommend it enough!!! I ordered ribs and chips whitch was listed on the specials board and got ribs and potato's. When II complained the owner brought chips and explained in a very robust manner that I should have ordered chips in the first place. I said I did order exactly what was listed on the specials board. The owner said chips were not listed. She lied, they were listed. Not a very plesent dining experience. Left a bad taste in the mouth! Mels Gastero Pub is constantly boxing above it's weight but rarely winning. Their success is due to no completion in the area. It is what it is. Better food from the Chinese takeaway across the road!
