If we knew earlier we would have also stayed over night ! The view is incredible and the food is never ending 😂 highly recommend coming here for a Montenegrin Experience just double check the direction on Apple Maps cause Google maps won’t lead you to the right place 🫣 This is a truly authentic experience! Tanja really makes you feel like a guest at her home and the food (all organic) and drinks just kept coming. We opted for veggies as well as some meat options. A great way to contact her to make a reservation (recommended) is via WhatsApp. You then also get the useful tips on how to get there, as Google Maps does not show the road (which is actually very easy to find and travel). It is a great dinner breakaway from the tourist spots, and the food is made with love! Definitely can recommend treating your tastebuds here when in Montenegro. At the of our visit, it was impossible to find this place accurately on Google Maps – it leads you to the wrong location. We had much better luck using Apple Maps, which got us there without any issues. Now for the review: This was an incredible experience. We were welcomed like old friends — practically into hosts own home — with unmatched hospitality. She immediately brought out toys for our daughter, which was such a kind and thoughtful touch. And the food… just kept coming. Every we thought it was the last dish, something else would arrive — delicious, homemade, and deeply rooted in local tradition. We didn’t leave; we rolled out. But honestly, this can’t be judged simply as a dining experience. This is something more — an authentic, heartfelt encounter with local hosts and real Montenegrin cuisine. If I worked for Michelin, I’d be writing her up for the guide. A solid 5/5. Nothing less. The best food of Montenegro! Home cooked traditional food with lots of vegetables. Tanja is super friendly and makes sure you have everything you need. We spontaneously went there around 17:30; she first send us for a hike to the waterfall, when we came back the (amazing) dinner was ready for us. !!!! This place cannot be found by google maps !!! Using google maps type in: Jakocev Krs - and keep following the road for about 10 minutes. Otherwise use Apple Maps, there you can find it. A truly amazing place, host and experience. We had a wholesome and full of flavours meal at Tanjia's place. Home grown and home cooked. It was genuinely the best meal I had out in a very long time, with local wine and honey too. One of us is vegetarian and another plant based and there was something for everyone to enjoy. Worth the drive along the single lane road at the side of the mountain. Do visit (but book ahead). It will be one of your best experiences in Montenegro! We stumbled across this place trying to find the waterfall. The host was so lovely and gave us a refreshing mint drink whilst she gave us instructions on how to reach the waterfall by foot. We then decided to come back for lunch and we both said it was the best food we had the whole we were in Montenegro! We are vegetarian which she accommodated beautifully! Everything was grown in her garden - the tomatoes, wine, courgettes, onions and it was all so delicious and fresh. I would highly recommend making a day of it, stopping off here for a true Montenegrin feast before/after the waterfall. HIGHLY RECOMMEND this place! Tania is SUCH a good host. I have been here over 5 times already now and it is always such a joy to come back. She prepares the meals and juices with a lot of love and you can taste it. Fresh ingredients from her garden or locally sourced. You are surrounded by beautiful views and she always provides you with a lovely atmosphere. Food can be made vegan when asked, which I highly appreciate it. She always succeeds in surprising us over and over again with an abundance of food which will never leave your stomach empty. We arrived without a reservation and were lucky enough to have an open slot that we received. Tanja gave us directions to the local waterfall before we had our slot, where we enjoyed a cooling swim in the middle of the hot summer day. By the we arrived back, a surprise multi-course meal was prepared for us, a tasty selection of Montenegrin dishes. The bean stew and stuffed paprika were absolute favourites of our group with amazing complimentary grilled vegetables, salad, and even more. We also received a cooling lemonade on arrival, and a genorous taste of local honey and wine, paired with tasty turkish coffee and a dessert dish. We will definitely remember this meal as one that competes with our own grandmothers'.
