Camping Pivka Jama is a beautiful and peaceful campsite. Nestled away from the main road, it is entirely set in the and partially on a slope, but it features paved pathways. You can stay in a tent, a caravan, or one of the cabins. We spent one night in a cabin during the summer of 2024. The cabin was just the right size for four people, with two beds on the ground floor and two more in an open loft accessible by a spiral staircase. The cabin also included a bathroom, a toilet, and a fridge, although ours did not have a kitchenette. The offers a restaurant, a swimming pool, and a central building with restrooms, washrooms, and a kitchen equipped with electric stoves. While the buildings and facilities are somewhat outdated, they are functional and clean. Additionally, there's a and the Pivka Jama abyss with a cave, which was unfortunately closed during our visit. The staff were friendly, and we had no trouble communicating in English. We definitely plan to return. camping in the woods with shadow. There is a small on the camping with very cold water (nice to cool of on a hot summer day) There are decent sanitary facilities with hot shower. Works good but don't bring to much because there is only one hook in the shower. No shelves to put clothes or things. On the there is also a restaurant. About 5 km from Postojna av Postojna caves. Great location! The entire camp site is within a in the surroundings of Postojna. Many pitches are shaded all day. We fould always toilets but the facilities' overall maintenance could have been improved. Hidden gem in the middle of the forest! 🌲⛺ The is spacious, especially when it comes to pitching tents. You’ll find everything you need: electricity, showers and toilets, a swimming pool, and plenty of peace, quiet, and shade. Perfect for a relaxing stay away from the crowds. Just one tip – don’t follow the navigation via Postojna, but arrive from the southwest (Veliki Otok) instead! 🚐✨ Very and cozy place. We stayed both in bungalows and in a and everything it's clean, it's a quiet place, are very helpful: I was out of gas, and the guys from receptions solved my issue in 20 minutes! There are minor negative things but without relevance, so I will not point it out. A good breakfast each morning, 3 km away from Postojna Cave, couple of restaurants around. Also and pool. Beautiful in the middle of the woods. The sanitary is the oldest ever seen, yet very and spacious. There’s even 4 ‘kitchens’ with 4 electric cooking plates. The pitches are perfectly leveled, but it is on asphalt and Little Rock’s, so you might want an extra canvas to protect your and matras. You can't beat the location - it's VERY close to Postojna and Predjama, in a forest. It is also quite affordable compared to other Slovenian campsites. However, it screams former Yugoslavia. Facilities are but really need renovation (asbestos tiles, locks in the bathrooms don't work etc), there's only cold water in bathroom sinks and dishwashing sinks, at the end of the day there's no toilet paper/paper towels/soap, and the grocery shop at the doesn't work. Nothing that you can't get around, but some change is desirable. Really place lost in the forest. Camping is perfect. The swimming was a bit cold but clean. You can order bread, croissant or breakfast a the restaurant. I stayed here for two nights in a in May and I really love this campsite! The site is beautifully located in the and still had the feel. Lot of shade and options to choose pitches with some privacy. There are also many services available like a pool, beachvolleybal, basketball and tennis court. has food and the were really kind and helpful. Cave and castle also close by. And this all for a reasonable price. I would definitely recommend to anyone. Beautiful and affordable in the middle of the forest. Has many cozy pitches where you can feel like in the middle of nowhere. Additionally the is available but has really cold water, would only recommend swimming if you like challenges ;) but it is a saver during hot days. Camped there for one night with a and two bikes. The location is absolutely stunning, being completely immersed in the woods makes it a magical experience. Bathrooms were okay but the water was warm at best. No other problems. Cooking area had electric stoves too, which was nice. Payment can be done in card. This place is absolutely perfect for camping! The bathrooms are very clean, and the whole area is surrounded by peaceful nature. It’s quiet, relaxing, and a great spot to unwind and reconnect with the outdoors. Highly recommended for anyone who loves camping in a natural and calm environment. ⛺🌿✨ We stayed in one of the stone huts which had a small (quite badly equipped) kitchen, a dinner table, a toilet and shower and a double bed downstairs and steep spiral stairs up to a mezzanine with 2 single beds. When we arrived there was a terrible smell of damp inside and black stuff on the walls. This smell slightly faded over the 3 nights we were there although when we opened the kitchen cupboards we got wafted with the smell and everything in the cupboard had to be washed again before we used it as it smelled so bad. Despite this, the place did grow on us and it would be quite a place it just needs a big revamp. The staff are very friendly and when we informed them of the issue they came down very quickly and offered us either a big discount or for them to move us to a place in the town as all of the other huts were occupied. They did say the damp was due to the floods and ours was the worst affected but the damp was clearly quite old. The was very with a small pool, a basketball court, table tennis and tennis courts but you had to pay a lot to use the courts and they didn't have tennis rackets for to rent. They had basketballs and table tennis rackets for to borrow. The was nice, especially for one on a campsite, and had a variety of dishes. There were also the pivka jama caves on site but they were very expensive for small caves. We were also a half an hour drive from postojna Caves which were massive and amazing. You got a little train down to the centre of the caves then had an hour tour around them. Great activity for everyone. Beautiful camping resort located in wide away from main roads. Plenty of spaces for tents and caravans. There are few caves in the surroundings in a walkable distance. The staff was great, we felt welcomed and the prices are great. There is also a and a breakfast buffet. The only thing lacking are the outdated bathrooms and toilets, we found them a bit like from a horror movie but otherwise and with hot water. Everything was clean, friendly staff, beautiful location, some in other reviews complain of the old bathroom and so on... They are not new but they are in a really good state, you can see that even though they are not super modern they are very well kept, I wouldn't see a reason to renovate them either :). also Website change monitoring Monitor any webpage for changes – get instant email alerts when prices drop, new jobs are posted, products come back in stock, or competitors update their sites.
