The staff is extremely helpful and knowledgeable staff, there is a lovely space to sit down and rest and a great selection of souvenirs to buy. The information was poor. The video about the town did not work, that was a big shame. The people there did their best but it still did not work. Friendly staff, clean toilets and a good value gift shop. It's a credit to Tournai and makes for a very pleasant visit to the city. The harbormaster and the lady from the tourist information office were very helpful, super nice and prompt to help. I cannot recommend this stop because the huge commercial boats do not adhere to the speed limits. Our 50’ barge broke 2 lines and the dock cleat while we were at dinner. Some kind sole had tied new lines and put our electric cord on the boat. As the gate is locked, perhaps it was the harbormaster that had checked on the boat? Inside we had drawers open and the coffee pot turned over. It is a nice city and worth a visit. I hope they resolve the commercial boats speed issues. Super helpful.
